Hi guys! i found this forum from dramatic gamer, i never created a mod, just a few floor and walls recolor, but i had an idea: i always wanted to have an option that allows my sims to get money through woohoo! (who as never wanted?) for our storys! :D so i know its difficult to do this thing, i mean, combine two interactions such as "woohoo" and "ask for loan". so i want to work on only one of these interactions: ASK FOR LOAN what i want to do is change some parameters of this interaction. for example: °make sure that this interaction is always present (by default it seems that appears to level 7 of charisma) and once used this does not disappear but it remains functional. °change the text and the response messages like: (original) "ask for loan" = (new) "ask money for the performance" (XD) _____ it is not exactly the best but it might work, sim has woohoo and later, thanks to this interaction,he can ask for money. what i did was open the "ask for loan" file with the sims 4 studio and i tried to change it, using some tutorials in the forum like tuning. but i could not, because i dont know what are the right parameters to be modified. if anyone can give me a help... i really want do that thank u! sorry for my english im italian and i dont talk very well but i understand

Hiya I'm not sure what you are asking, are you asking how to alter an xml or are you asking how to make new strings? , also check the tutorials section of the forum they can guide you in lots of helpful ways

xml (tunings) tells the game what to do. Strings are the text displayed in the game.

Strings are the text displayed in the game. ok! thanks, in fact i tried to edit xml, but i do not see changes in the game.. with the tutorial cannot figure out how to change certain parts... :( do u think is hard to create this mod? to modify only an interaction? thank u

I have no experience in that type of mod, so I can't say how difficult it would be. But I had an idea, why not make an object mod, like a nightstand, that you can click to get paid? You could look at some of the CC objects that interact with other sims to figure out how that part works. Using an object like that prevents every conversation having ask for loan, and all relationship constraints.

Well what you would need to do is make a new interaction, make the interaction require the has woohoo buff, to start xml tuning a good place is looking at the official maxis documentation then getting the tdesc's and tdesc browser (the latter from mod the sims), this will show you what the <V> </V> ect means and also the lines like "<U n="blah">" means are all in the tdesc. With the tdesc browser its pretty easy to create and edit xmls. I would start by looking at the wishing well payment interaction and comparing with the tdsesc browser , happy modding and if you get stuck on something you can always pop in here and ask

I saw that someone else has the same problem .. as regards' interaction of which you speak, I have no Romantic Garden stuff pack so I can not work on that, I have to try to change at this point that of loans. I saw a tutorial on how to see the descriptions but it is very laborious! I do not understand why the browser does not work!

I've thought about it, but I have to figure out which object can be fine ... for now I could only change the name of the interaction and the messages of sims, and to immediately appear interaction without the presence of the charismatic abilities, but this can only be used once per sims, and I can not find the right string to make sure that it is always present! sorry for my english

I've done it! the interaction in the game "ask for loan" can be used only once or after you get your money back. then saw that I could not change this, I decided to do another thing: I have changed the number of money to be returned to 0 and changed the text for this interaction (repaidloan) in (thanks for the money), so once "thanked"the sim, you can apply this interaction again for more money! I have already tried the game and everything works great! the only thing I do not like is the fact that this interaction is present even before the woohoo. (both are uncorrelated) but for now it's okay, later I will try to solve the problem. the text and the name of the interaction are in Italian of course. but if you tell me the exact words to be included I would be grateful! I am already ready to publish it even if I never did! I still have a question, the files are two, the translation and the interaction. how do I merge these two files? with the merge option sims4studio? thnk u for your replys guys!
edit: I also modified one other thing: the interaction is released when a Sim is in the state flirting.

Not sure I understand about two files. Translation is the string table? If it is then, yes, you can just export the string table and import it into the other file - no need to merge files. Please explain "tell me the exact words to be included". Do you mean you would like English translations of the Italian text?

These are the phrases to be translated, they are 4: "ask money for woohoo" or "ask money for the performance" (what you think is best to write, now I tell you very simply) "ask a big amount of money for woohoo" (very simply) "thank u for the money" the response of SIM: "Take, thanks for the performance! It was great!"

Since this is a sex for money mod, I think slang is called for
"ask money for woohoo" or "ask money for the performance" ( "Leave the money on the nightstand")
"ask a big amount of money for woohoo" (very simply) ( "I did some extra tricks for you, I need more cash")
"thank u for the money" ("It was good partying with you. I am free next Tuesday if you have the time."
the response of SIM:
"Take, thanks for the performance! It was great!" ("Here you are. I had a GREAT time. I will call you again soon.")

the specific xml tuning you want is under the basic extras, payment in the interactions , I'm sorry the tdesc browser is not working for you did you point it to the tdesc folder ?, without being able to view the tdesc I'm not sure how you could write payment in as theres a section for where the payments go to in the payment tuning. <L n="basic_extras"> <V t="payment"> <U n="payment"> <V t="amount" n="payment_cost"> <U n="amount"> <T n="amount">500</T> </U> </V> </U> </V> I found this on repay small loan interaction acording to the tdesc if you insert <L n="payment_destinations"> <V t="participant_household> <U n="participant_household"> <E n="participant>TargetSim</E> below the <U n="amount"> it will pay the funds directly to the target sim which would be your actor if you've set up the interaction to force the affordance on the actor. So you would end up with 2 interactions 1st is ask for Payment, second is pay for services rendered the first interaction would have <L n="continuation"> <U> <E n="actor">TargetSim</E> <T n="affordance">(pay for services rendered tuning id)<!--Pay for services rendered--></T> <T n="si_affordance_override">True</T> <E n="subject">Actor</E> </U> </L> and then it should work but you will also need a check to see if the targetsim has the had woohoo buff on them and your actor has has the had woohoo buff on them that way the interaction will only appear if both you sim and the target sim have had woohoo. Finaly you would need to python inject the interaction into the sim object but make sure you put a line in so the first interaction doesnt show on your sim but only on other sims. Am I making any sense here lol, or am I loosing the crowd lol.
