Okay, I created a new hair mesh to S4. I did all mesh lods, but when I import the .blend file in S4 Studio, the new mesh overlap old mesh. What's going on?

Hi Phixil, the original hair you cloned has three mesh groups in LOD 0. Each has a different cut number. Your LOD 0 has three mesh groups but they all have the same cut number (0000). This is causing Studio to replace only one of the original mesh groups. The two that you have not replaced are still showing up.

I made a first time mesh using a video to learn and it took a long time but I think it looks really great. not I skipped the hat cut steps sins I never use hats and this is just for my game. I merged it all together and duleated the hat cut mesh and I tried to leave them alone but no matter what I do my mesh over laps the existing mesh in sims 4 studio. did i mess up? will I have to start over? i don't get the cut number thing. I know where it is but im not sure about the mesh group thing. i find tutorials are the only way I can learn normally without slow persis instructions. can you help? is my mesh lost i really hope not. I hope there is a fix for this.

hi llgold ! please read the following guide to understand cut numbers: sims4studio.com/thread/13120/cut-numbers-easy-explanation. deleting a mesh group in blender isn't going to delete it from the package. each group needs to be identified by inputting the correct cut number so it's properly updated when imported back. also, you can't delete a hat chop, not from blender and not from the package. you edit each mesh group if needed. what you see in S4S's preview are all states overlapped, in game you'll only see each one when you use a hat or not. please check in game and you'll see your hair.

I did look at that link but reading all that really confuses and frustrates me and hurts my brain. I don't see what the problem is so I don't know how to fix it. Im not even sure I get everything you mentioned. I feel really stupid to ask but are you saying the hair will work in game? The video tutorials always just work so I don't know why mine is not.
