Hello everybody!
As some of you may have already seen, EA announed two new Packs for Spring 2017:
- A Family Themed Game Pack - A Fitness Themed Stuff Pack
A teaser can be found right here:
What do you think about it? As for myself..not very enthousiastic about it, but maybe you are?

Um, the cold shoulder top is adorable, so I think this will be like so many other releases where I'm thinking it's not really much of a value to spend that money on a single hair style or texture or dress mesh that you can't have any recolors of if you don't. And neither of these packs seem like they would add anything new to the game, at least not given what we've been shown. We have exercise stuff. We have multiple releases that focus on kids' play.

I'm underwhelmed. We already have too much exercising in this game. Every time my Sim goes out of the house there are people doing pushups on the sidewalk. Does EA think America is this interested in fitness or are they trying to suggest we should be? The family-themed thing would be interesting if it introduced new locations. Otherwise, I'm not sure what that's really going to add.

I'm super excited for the family pack, I'm a family player who refused to buy the Sims 4 until toddlers were added, so I am always game to see more interactions and objects; especially, I LOVE the craft table that I just saw! Not so much for the fitness pack, I agree we already have too much fitness activities in the game.

I am happy about family GP, and if they introduce any new equipment (squatting rack, EA, squatting rack! My sim girls need nice booty, and you can't achieve it without proper squats :D) it would be good. But teaser is really uninspiring. It didn't tease me in any way.

Not really what I was expecting... Besides the teaser being really uninspiring the theme of the packs is not that interesting either :P . The only one I'd buy is the fitness one, but only if it had any good clothes or object equipment, otherwise, it wouldn't add anything new.

I didn't see anything eyecatching in the trailer though I kind of like the idea of a family pack (and I like the activity tables there). I do want more family activity but rather than just "nicer objects or decor" I would like something like: - new traits (how about an Aging Gracefully one lol? someone who is a rebellious young man with Peter Pan syndrome, that later is bound for a middle age crisis and a Made My Nest moodlet lol?) - new events: family picnic, family pool day - new age group - it looked like there was a preteen in the trailer? - new skills (roller skating? cheerleading? baseball? water polo) - fun interactions with toddlers like playing in a waddling pool, playing hide and seek... and giving them a proper birthday party!! We can have a party with them blowing out the candles, but it's not an actual toddler birthday party. - also special interactions/relationships with cousins, aunts, grandparents... a lot of us like the idea of having big extended families and having cousin sleepovers, grandparents' golden anniversary, etc - new location/world, family venues, maybe a place for a family holiday or to celebrate a birthday.
Fitness... Hmm. Not particularly stimulating except for maybe some comfy snazzy clothes, and the family friendly sports I mentioned earlier - baseball, skating, maybe bicycle riding. Or stuff to play at a beach/pool. Or what I also mentioned - an ocean themed holiday world that is sports-friendly - water skiing, scuba diving, aquatic motorbikes, hang gliding, that sort of thing. We do need more swimsuits come to think of it, I think that despite getting pools and such in Get Together I don't remember any new swimwear (could be wrong though).
I was surprised they did that kind of trailer at all because I did not find it very exciting.

One word for fitness Swords lol I doubt they will add that though lol "ye fool, I declare thee thine enemy and slap you on the face with a glove" "Ahha so that's how its going to be I challenge you to a duel" (epic sword battle ensues), as for the family game pack I don't know what to think I never play families, My sims are lone wolves, interested in far more important things than getting married like spells and magic and Blood, did I mention magic oh and restaurants lol.

There are so many more things they could add that they just don't.. It looks like the same things we have with a different design.. meh
As Believe&become said, in terms of sports only, they could add so many. Travelling like in the sims 3 would be awesome as well.
Or simply add more playable career to the game. I really like them we can do lots of poo at work :p (I like to freeze all my co-workers)
This teaser teases nothing. It shows 3 items and as much clothes. This kind of content should be free.

Where's pets and magic stuffs! Watched the video, the toddler on the dudes back was cute but the rest was meh. Some up there said they could do so much more, I wholeheartedly agree. It's like they lack a creative force inside their expansion team.

I wish they would bring in seasons, pets and magic too jkaliszew but I think because people keep complaining about toddlers and the lack of things they can do they are making a family game pack to cover it and hopefully quieten people down. I mean they weren't adding toddlers but people demanded it so they released them for free then they released other focused stuff and game packs and then people complained that there's not enough for toddlers to do so were getting a game pack focused on family interactivity.

Honestly speaking, I would complain if EA released magic pack before any family pack.

i love the toddlers and the kids , i enjoy the family aspect but as a simmer i generally play it do things regular life can't offer me so i love having things in the game i don't have, pets, magic, different life states . I'm weird i love the game being realistic in the most unrealistic way possible. Truthfully though more than anything my lack of social interactions is what grinds my gears. In sims 2 there was like 5 different types of hugs and 5 different types of kisses , with the emotions aspect you would think it would allow for way more different animations and social interactions. there could be a sad kiss where it looks like they are being comforted but aside of 'passionte' kiss and sauve kiss you don't get much in the way of emotional social interactions. And what really irks me is the lack of interactive slow dancing, when they added dine out or city life that was a perfect time to add an interactive slow dance i mean wtf. The family OR the fitness pack would have been golden to add the toss a foot ball, hackey sack, rock paper scissors or other types of interactive 'games' they can play just by talking to each other but it seems they didnt bother. They could have added the soccor game or even something simple like a track lot with new special running animations . God forbid they give me my martial arts in a fitness pack -_- . I miss my the pool table and the poker table so bad from sims 2 as well. And the current games they do have bowling and darts dont feel very 'interactive' when they play together. I love this game and i love using it for stories but I just don't know why I am missing this much basic stuff from such an older game, they shouldnt be going backward in quality and quantity. I hate complaining cause my husband starts threatening to not buy the packs if im not happy with it and im too much of a spoiled princess to not buy them all lmao but I still have needs that EA really don't want to address at all and it seems that they are missing all the chances to do it which makes me feel they just simply won't. I hope it's not the case, i had damn near abandoned hope for toddlers and then they threw them at us like an apple pie in the face. I mean yea apple pie is awesome but you didnt have to throw it at my face. They didn't offer nearly any content with them at all and then we are supposed to get excited when monthhhhs down the line they add a new toy for them, prolly no new hairs or clothes if they do maybe it will be a single of each for both genders. It feels good to complain but I don't wanna have too i just wanna have them get their poo together
Dear EA
