Hello, I'm having trouble importing a mesh into studio. I click 'import mesh' in the meshes tab, the loading icon pops up, but the old mesh is still there. I've tried using other peoples meshes and that works fine. I can import it into blender, but not Sims 4 Studio. I even tried reinstalling Sims 4 Studio.
Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be and how to fix it?

Did you update the cut number of the new mesh to be the same as the old one? You can find the option in these settings: s16.postimg.org/vrrg611p1/cut_3.pngDisclaimer: I am not an expert but ideally your new mesh's cut number should be the same as the old one in order for it to show up.

Yes, they're both 0000 and the type are the same for both of them as well.

Maybe throw up your mesh so I can take a peak at it? I'll see if I can find anything if that's no trouble

hi! Can you share the package as well?. Please export the mesh that is in the package and compare if all the groups and cut numbers match your item.
Also, why is there no elements inside the rig in your blend? have you deleted those?

I was able to get it working for you. I have attached the fixed blend file as well as a dummy package for you to see it in the studio: drive.google.com/open?id=0B-iw-MnQgYexZkhRakx0NWxzVGcBasically what I did was, I exported a new mesh, transferred the weights from it (and merged them to be doubly safe - I got rid of the faces from the mesh I exported so you didn't have extra polys that would bog down your work ) Edit:

I honestly can't see nothing wrong with your original mesh, i'm curious now as to why isn't importing :/

My guess is this is a normals problems. Some people using blender 2.70 have reported before the mesh not importing correctly. The fix was to recalculate the normals in blender and then import again.

You're right mat i re downloaded the files and tested it on the blend. Unfortunately, after that some parts get flipped to the wrong side and it's very hard to fix it since the mesh has been joined together like glue and it's a mess to manually separate that.. but that's a whole another story.

Yep. That's what happened to me when I tried it. I opted in trying to find an alternative that would save me from having to separate the outfit. My alternative probably was over the top :P
