I have been working on combining the belt/shirt poof from the grim reaper robe with the Leia robe from the star wars items for a few days now and I'm stuck on these last few annoyances. I have blanked the shadow and specular. In S4S the robe looks fine, but in CAS there is a crotch shadow on the front, and on the back there is one strip that has a weird sheen to it (makred by the green lines) and a light colored square (marked by purple).
There is also a line across the back of the robe:
All issues have been solved except for the white square: Updated Mesh: drive.google.com/file/d/0B9K8niVz-lDBTVlDQ1ktLW5OYkU/view?usp=sharingUpdated Package: drive.google.com/file/d/0B9K8niVz-lDBdmx0VkFkWkdFZWc/view?usp=sharing

linamints, regarding the line on waist, you have overlapping geometry in that area. Regarding shadows on the robe, if you switch to edit mode vertex selection, you will see that some vertices moved a little bit, it created rough shadows. You can remove this shadow by aligning all vertices.

Feyona Thank you so much! Both of those issues will be solved. I also solved the sheen by rearranging the UV map (it turns out it was picking up the specular of shoes since it was mapped over that region). The only issue left is that persistent square.

Hello linamints, I had a look and could not figure out anything wrong on the mesh and texture part. it is not an uv or alpha issue nor an edge split. Vertex paint is good. It could be an overlapping from another texture. Is the sim wearing shoes or socks or anything else at all?

Zelrish I did a test and removed every possible thing I could from the sim (even the hair) and the white square persists. I have noticed that on my current settings I'm not seeing it in game. I'm not sure how to figure this part out. I'm not sure if it will be there for some people and not others if I post it.

I will test it from home later today. Maybe it is only visible in CAS

Zelrish Thank you so much for your help. I didn't even know there could be CAS specific anomalies.

Well, I am not sure it is the case for the sims 4 but there was some glitches only visible in CAS for the Sims 3. Maybe it is also a possibility in the Sims 4. I will tell you how it turned out for me after I test it. EDIT : linamints I just tested. And same thing for me. I see the square in CAS but not in game. I tested some poses to move the fabric around and never saw the square while in game. I play with the graphics at maximum btw. So, I'd say it's not bad at all (notice some clipping happening with the shoes/ankle when walking)

I was going to reply to this, but thought it would be a bit silly. But i had the same issue way back... when s4 was on its baby stage. The shine was visible in CAS but not in game. So it's completely possible that this is the case too, i'm not sure why that is though.

Thank you for helping test it out, Since it doesn't show up in game I'll just ignore it . Thank you! And thank you too inabadromance, I guess it's just an odd thing!

haha it is! By any chance, did you use the white wedding dress as a base? maybe that's the only culprit. In my case, was that one >.<

I believe I used the Princess Leia robe and merged a lot of the pieces of the Grim reaper outfit.

I had the same thing with a cropped Jacket I made, shows in CAS but not in game.
