After clicking on CAS to recolor an object and clicking on Content to sort to Custom Content nothing comes up. When I click on All the items that came with the game are there. I also know someone else with a Mac that is having the same problem.

To recolor a custom content item you need to place it in the game's mod folder and in Sims 4 Studio's mods folder. If you don't have it in the Sims 4 Studio's folder the program won't find it and won't show it to you.

Hi, I'm having the same problem. I understand how the Mod folder works and I would like to edit a .package file to recolour some custom content, but in S4S in the CAS page where you select the content you want no such option exists.
When the Content menu says "all" the usual default game content appears, but when I select Custom Content it appears empty, although I have been saving and using CC in game successfully until now. mandij if this is the problem you're having then I am experiencing the same thing. Mathcope if this is unrelated then I'll appreciate it if you direct me to somewhere appropriate I can post my question.
Using the latest version of Appletini, I'm also having problems with object recolouring, as on the main menu I only see CAS and Animation, and no Object option. If Appletini has no program to do object recolours then this explains the issue, but I'm sure I've seen other mac users having no problem recolouring objects. An example of what I want to do for instance is to colour a painting to hang on my sim's wall.
Thanks in advance.

Hi larchness, Studio has not added object recoloring or meshing to Appletini yet. This is why you do not see an Object option on the front page. If people are making recolors of objects using Appletini, they are making them as default replacements of an existing CC object by importing images in the Warehouse. If you want to make object recolors for personal use you can do that. I do not recommend sharing these items though because they will conflict with the original item. The big thing holding up the addition of objects to Appletini is the model viewer issue. Currently, on some computers, the model viewer is showing up borkt. Until a solution is found for that issue, no new features requiring a model viewer will be added. The issue is difficult to work on because the test Macs used to make Studio do not have this problem. Right now, we're in the process of working on improvements to the Creator Studio section of the forum among other projects. However, fixing Appletini's model viewer is on the list of things to do.
When making recolors of CAS custom content, you need to put the CAS.package into your Documents/Sims 4 Studio/Mods folder. Simply putting it into your game Mods folder is not enough. Studio does not look in the game's Mods folder when assembling the thumbnail list. It only looks in the Sims 4 Studio/Mods folder for that.

orangemittens Thank you so much for your speedy reply and your thorough answer. That's exactly what I needed to know, and I'm glad I can do CC recolours after all!
