Ok, so I haven't been part of the sims community long, only since Sims 3. But in sims 3 , they've released vampires on their own, and then the supernatural stuff later on in a separate pack that also includes vampires. I'm assuming that's what they're going to do for sims 4, so my question is this: Why not just release the full Supernatural release with the vampires first? Why go to the trouble of adding them twice? IDK, I just find it weird.

Back on Sims 3 I don't think they had planned how they were going to release the supernatural being at the time Late Night came out. Remember that in Sims 2, the supernaturals were added separated in each expansion pack. So I think the first idea with Sims 3 was to do the same thing. Later on they scrap that idea and made them all in a pack.
I think with Sims 4 they are going to do it by Game Packs. Remember it's different than a whole expansion pack. Vampires' gameplay was added with the gamepack but if someone doesn't like the vampire in their games they only uninstall that pack, they don't loose to much gameplay as a whole expansion pack would be.
I think they will add more supernatural sims with game packs. Just notice that Sims 4 has been full of crappy stuff and game packs and almost no expansion.

Yeah, I have noticed the lack of substance in their releases so far. I'm hoping that will change
