My games been really slow because of the amount of CC I have (7700 files) and the loading time at the The Sims 4 logo has doubles to 40mins so I decided to merge the packages based on Hair/Skin/Clothes/Build packages and I did all of that but now when I start up the game it loads up fine - no error code. I get the EA-Maxis logo and than it goes to white screen with no sims 4 logo and my mouse keeps loading and loading until when I click on the white screen and I get an popup with 'TS4_64x is not responding'
What do I do? I seriously can't wait 40-50min for my freaking game to load.

hi! Does your computer meet the requirements of the game? It should be better than the minimum requirements since that only refers to only base game, and you're using custom content that is more harsh on the game.
If you want to recover your old files, you can check the backup folder inside the S4S directory in your documents.
I'm not sure if i have that many files but mine does freeze for a minute or two (you don't have to touch anything) and then continues to start. But never more than that, i could never wait that much.
I think that my only suggestion would be to clean your mods and check the polygons/what you don't need and stuff.
Does it load fine without any mods?

You might have some piece of CC that are corrupted or else.
In your place I would test it. As Inabadromance said, first try how your game behaves by moving your mods out (so without mods) Then add them back using a 50/50 method, that way you can try to figure out from when the game suddenly becomes slow

Check conversion files (Sims 2-sims 4, often cause lag) these can be really poly heavy and slow the game down.
