This is hard. I just want to recolor eyelashes. Don't know how to get started.

Hi jemcrystal! Welcome and don't be intimidated by all the information. It is a lot I know, but it's also fun! I'm guessing you want to recolor eyelash custom content you have installed (I don't recall the main game having any eyelashes, unless you mean eyeliner or makeup to simulate eyelashes)? First of all, download and install the last version of Sims 4 Studio, you'll find it here: sims4studio.com/thread/1523/downloading-sims-4-studio. Then follow the instructions to recolor Create a Sim custom content here: sims4studio.com/thread/397/create-standalone-recolor-custom-contentIf you have any questions while doing that tutorial you can post your question there (if you are halfway through it might help to upload your package somewhere so someone can look at it), or in any case, at any stage you are MORE than welcome to ask anything you like if you get stuck or frustrated. Take your time and ENJOY!! It's a great thing you are doing. Once again, welcome. :D

Lost me at number 6 where the tutorial assumes from that point on I know what I'm doing. Is there anything more basic step by step elaborate instructions? Sorry I have been away for a while but now I want to recolor other people's clothing meshes. Eyelashes are to hard for me to get my mind around. Skin is to hard to get my mind around. None of the clothing that came with the game inspires me to recolor it but peoples custom meshes inspire me.
How do I recolor someone's created mesh? Or more to the point how do I make more colors. Let's say they created a medieval maid outfit that comes in blue and yellow. But I want a house full of maids so I also want their custom dress to be in green, red, orange, purple, and copper. Their cc instructions say I am allowed to recolor their clothing item.
Where can I find a beginners tutorial leaving no steps out on how to recolor custom content clothing?
