So with the newest game pack, Parenthood, your sims are now able to set tables. This works with all the pre-made tables.
The problem is with the CC tables, some of them allow you to set them, others allow you to click on them to set but show no placemats, and the rest will not show the option whatsoever on the table.
Has there been a flag that was added which some CC table inherently do posses while others don't? Is there a way (and fix) to check this within S4S?

If you provide examples of a table that works and a table that doesn't the issue can be investigated.

Hi! I had the second problem (tables who doesn't show the setting but show the option) with my CC tables. I fixed it exporting the rig and slot from an EA table and import them on my CC tables.
I hope this would help you.

Hi impatientcow, I took a look at the tables that are not working for you and it doesn't seem to be a problem specific to the Parenthood game pack. Parenthood is using the placemat slots that were added awhile back with the Dine Out game pack patch, which we have already added a batch fix for.
The 8-chair table has incorrect slot matrices for the placemat slots which causes them to not show up. I tried fixing them and my Sim was able to set the table for all 8 spots without issue. I did not try, but I'm pretty sure that this table would have the same problem in a Dine Out restaurant.
The Anenome table has an outdated custom tuning resource. This also is not something that Studio can batch fix because the program has no way of knowing what the original tuning was based on, or what the creator's intentions were when modifying it.
I would suggest contacting the creator of these items and asking them to fix them.

Hi, came here as I have a similar issue with no option to set table. Even on base game objects or the table that came with Parenthood. I checked different objects and turns out that even with a base game table, if you have cc chairs, the option doesn't show. Now, I haven't applied the fix for dine out, as I didn't use much that pack, but doing this now. Maybe you should check the CC chairs as well, not only CC tables?

Part of the dine out batch fix also updated the CC chairs, so it is very likely that doing so will fix them so that they work with the placemats in the Parenthood pack.

I understand that the Anemone table is one to be fixed by the creator, so I have tried to fix the other custom tables with no success. I ran the tables and chairs through the batch fix but it did not return any changes. Even in game there were no changes and some CC still refused to show placemats. Could you please clarify how you were able to fix the tables? (This picture is showing a row of CC tables with an in-game chair, all of them have been set but only a couple show placemats.)

I fixed the lennox 8-chair one by re-calculating the transform matrix of the placemat slots using the numbers from the placemat bones in the rig. I can look at the others that won't work if you send them.

Alright, I have compiled all the CC tables into a zip file which you can find here. Does this mean that the problem is too complicated to have it fixed with the Dine Out batch? I ran these tables multiple times through the process but it returned an all okay with no changes.

Thanks for sending the packages. I think that I have found the problem and it should be batch fix-able

Hi impatientcow , today's update should fix this (both the CT and the Beta). The batch fix has been updated for this issue and renamed so that it is clear that it is for both the Dine Out pack and the Parenthood pack. Of the ones that you sent, the only 2 that won't be fixed are the the one that had a custom tuning and the Tabula Rasa that for some reason has the EA tuning of a generic table instead of the dining table. There is no way for Studio to really know the intentions of the creator of an item that has a non-standard tuning, so it is not really batch fixable without the potential to break people's custom tables. The only time we change tunings is when an item references an EA tuning that no longer exists after a patch, in which case Studio will choose the most suitable replacement to prevent a "script call error" when placing it.

Thank you so much for the heads up! I fixed the tables with help of the updated batch. I have also notified both creators of the Anemone and Tabula Rasa table and hopefully will receive word of an update for both tables. Again, thank you so much for the update, the sims community and I appreciate all the work you have done!

Hi there ! I used the new fix batch for all my cc tables and chairs but for some reason it's still not working in my game. Is it working for everybody else? Every time I run a batch fix it fixes the same files as if they hadn't been fixed already. I'm real confused ...

Hi cinthila, if you can send me the files that won't fix for you, I can take a look at them.
