hello i'm new here and i been having trouble making skin overlays with the new update on sims studio 4 i don’t know what i could be doing wrong :< like with the 2 on-top before the skin would appear like so in game but now with the recent update they actually appear grey and well just like the bottom 2 images it doesn’t overlay like before? em i missing something new? something else i found out with messing around with this is that i don’t have to make an alpha layer in Photoshop cause things will still appear in game? are there more up to date tutorials or examples that i don't know of with doing these things? everything i find is ether somewhat helpful or just doesn’t seem to flow well

Hi quartzbunny . For skin overlays like this (in grayscale) you need to change composition method from 0 to 3 for each CAS part in the file. See my post here with instructions where to change it. Composition method number controls the way skin detail will blend with other makeup and skintones, 0 means no blending, texture will look the same way as in photoshop. Skin details blend best when composition method set to 3. Also check tutorial How to Make Great Skin Detail
