Hello, How do I create a round surface with Blender? Sims4 has triangular faces, Blender uses rather quadrangular surfaces. I guess I should not combine both on a mesh. Either the one or the other. But how do I create a round surface with 4 corners? Does anyone have experience with it and can give me a hint? Thanks in advance. regards Oriana

Do you have an image of what you're trying to make?

Yes Round surface simple. They do not look like 4 corners. I thought I ask you how to round surfaces with 4 corners. At this mesh there is also something broken, because the bake does not make it on the whole UVMap. I'm still a beginner ... will have to rebuild the table. I am concerned about round surfaces, I somehow do not understand how I managed with the 4 corners .. looks like 3 corner. And what do I have to do in the middle? Is there something to consider? I hope you understand me, I use Google translator for this post.

I'm sorry but I don't understand your issue. You mesh looks fine to me. Maybe someone else can help here.

OK. I do not know how I can explain this differently .. I have shown a picture. In the last post. I just wanted to know how to create round surfaces correctly with Blender. I think you have much more knowledge than me.

hi! I'm lost as well as to why you're referring to your mesh having 4/3 corners.... the table looks round enough. making a mesh even more detailed would impact in the performance of the game so you should consider that if you're planning on sharing the item. when selecting the circular shape from the tools, you can edit it's circumference making it more or less detailed.
As for the bake, be sure to have one material in the tab of the same name and try creating another image and baking into that one. that sometimes happens to me, the bake refuses to map all the objects for some reason.

I feel that Oriana is asking how to create mesh with all triangular faces since Blender creates quads. If I understood correctly then you don't need to worry about quads, when you import the mesh in Studio it converts quads into triangular faces for you.

Sorry, I don't know much about meshing... But I think it's the other way round, Feyona. Orlana would like to create meshes with quads, as she has watched tuturials where they recommend working with quads. Modifiers seem to work better with quads in blender, so they say... And she does not know how to do that with a round surface.
EDIT: Haha, I painted something for her, and she says that could be it. Let's just wait and see if that helps...

Hello inabadromance, That's true, I did not want to make the table more detailed. There should be a table for 6 chairs. And I'm still practicing. The amount of details in Blender I can not yet estimate so well. As little detail as necessary. So I want to do this in the future. Thanks for the help with Bake! ) Hello Feyona, Wow! This information is gold value. Great. Thank you! That helps me. ) Fantastic as you have built the S4S. I'm once again impressed by the S4S. Excellent! Mammut has drawn a graphic, yes. That helped me very well. Thanks again to you mammut. ) Once again the google translator wrote the answer. I hope you can understand everything well. Kind regards Oriana ♥
