Hello! I'm new to Sims 4 Studio, and I may have totally done the whole thing wrong (sorry for that), but I have a problem. When I make custom paintings, they don't work, when the package file is in the folder; mods, and Sims 4 registers it, "my art" isn't visible, the painting has become a questionmark (green, on a pink background), in the size of the painting. I made a total of six paintings, and one of them works ok. I did every painting exactly in the same way. The one working is one of four swatches. 2nd one to be exact.
What can I do to make it work?? As I said before, sorry if I missed any help-page/previous thread about this... And, my english isn't very good...
THANKS!

Custom paintings don't use swatches at all, so I am curious.

Hi! That rainbow texture means that the textures you're importing aren't multiple of 2. Remember that they should match EA sizes, such as 256x256, 512x512, 256x512 and so on. And Leniad was asking for you to share the package file.

Okay, sorry I did not understand... But here's a link to the original package-file that i tried in the first picture. (The one Leniad posted was an example). drive.google.com/file/d/0B4_U5uK8clphNUtCMU1ldWhjU1U/view?usp=sharingI think you can open the file from there... Otherwise I post another. inabadromance, can you explain what you said a bit clearer, as I said, I'm very new here so I don't know lot about Sims4Studio... :( Thank you!

Texture dimensions should be in POWERS of 2, 2 n X 2 n. For example as inabadromance stated in their comment 256x256, 512x512, 256x512, etc.

So, what am I going to need for making a proper picture? Programs that are availble for me: Gimp, Blender, PhotoFiltre, PowerPoint, and possibly Paint.net. If we start out from the Dinosaur-painting above, isn't it only to replace the dino? (See image on link:) drive.google.com/file/d/0B4_U5uK8clphc2lyZXY3WTZSSFk/view?usp=sharingSorry if this is getting annoying, but I don't know at all what you guys are talking about those POWERS, 256x256, rainbow-textures etc. PLEASE can someone make a "beginner-tutorial" for how to do this. Every video on YouTube shows CAS-items, or paintings w/ Adobe Photoshop, that I don't have. If someone says something like: POWERS of 2, 2n X 2n, please tell me what those powers are, how to get there and so on, I don't know anything like this about the software. Do for an example a step-by-step tutorial written down on this thread, that would help very much. My objective: Recolor the dinosaur-painting (it's the right shape) with my own image, without the questionmark-failure*. (*See link down below) drive.google.com/file/d/0B4_U5uK8clphbVJwdE00VnI4ZEU/view?usp=sharing%C2%A0Thank you to all those who continues to help me out!

Start to Finish Object Tutorial For Absolute Beginners - I HEREOh! Thank you so much! I'll read that a bunch of times and learn! I post my accomplishments here, and further questions. How long can this thread be "unsolved"? (How long time do I have to decide if this thread is solved?) PS. I checked your videos, but because those were about CAS they didn't help. (brujah) -Sorry about that!

hi! There's no requirements. You can have this open as long as you want. You can bookmark this thread if you ever miss it by clicking "actions" and "bookmark" on the top of the page. As for the size of the texture. You can see here that your textures are 800x799. You either cut it, resized it or something while editing them. If you re-clone the item you'll see how the original textures where.

oh that's alright! It's always better to talk out things like that in the thread itself so others can read the progress too. You can edit your first post, and edit the tittle to add [Solved] at the end great that you got it fixed!

I figured it out! Thanks again! Now I know that it's better to ask here on the forum first before Googling, YouTube-searching a 1hour long video... THIS THREAD IS SOLVED.Check that your paintings is in the right size, like mine in: 512x512.
