Hello! I convert a dress in the Sims 4 and I have a problem. When I check my dress in CAS, it gives me this: Vampire's dress.package(I don't care about shine, I know where it comes from. ^^) So what's the problem, please?

the lines in the dress are because the mesh is separated in blender. you can join it and it wont be there. and the weird stretching of the dress could be a weight problem. see if you can redo the weight transfer and if it makes any difference

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I know the dress is separated but if I do not, it's even worse: the weights go in all directions and I even had a problem with the arms that were glued to the sim's body. :-/ (And EA's clothes are separated.) For the weights, I make it my business.

Hi! I suggest using blender 2.70 for weight transfer in case you're not using that version.
Also, you should have all the pieces of your dress in one group so that the transfer is done evenly (select each group in object mode and join). Later on, separate each piece if needed (select in edit mode, press P / selection)
The transfer should be done only on the clothing, not in body parts to maintain the settings of the original EA mesh. If you're unsure, you an do this on your last step by deleting the body parts and re appending them again.

Hi! Ok so I did a weights transfer and it seems to work ... in part. There are those damn separations! Why?? I can't do in one mesh because EA's dresses are all in 3 or 4 meshs. If I do one mesh with an EA's model, the original outfit remains visible. Should I make the dress on a nude model?

have you done the weight transfer with a fully joined mesh or individually on each group?

With a fully joined mesh. I separated them at the end.

then you got me there 😆 . did you re do the uv_1 with the fully joined mesh as well? . if all that fails then group everything to the top group and leave only the legs on the rest.

Haha! You told me to join everything for the transfer, that's what I did. ;p Uv_1? It's not uv_0, like the original mesh? I must admit I didn't understand. Sorry... ^^''

I'm guessing (by not seeing the blend) that your blend is composed by 3 mesh groups. Your dress being divided by 3, top part in mesh group 1, first bottom part in 2 and third bottom part in 3. There's no need to have this separated. I'm not sure what EA item did you clone your dress from but you can clone a short BG dress that already has the 2 lasts mesh groups with leg parts and replace only the first mesh group with the full joined dress in it. As for the UV_1, you're required to do one if you want your dress to have proper morphs (fat / thin sims)

Ooh, I get it. In the meantime, I tried something on my side. I took as model the corset of EA and I put my dress in a single mesh... ... And it WORKS!! So I'm just going to change the UV. It's enough to create it and name it "uv_1"?* *Never mind. I found a tutorial. ^^ EDIT: Do you know where the shine comes from? From the "normal map"? (Or maybe the specular image?)

I linked you the uv_1 tutorial on my last post and that's the one you should follow.
The shine comes from the specular, but you should edit the bump map as well. Export each texture and manually edit them to fit your mesh.

I hadn't seen your link. Thank you! Ok, thanks. ^^ I leave this thread open for the moment and if I see that I can manage, I would put "solved".

Hi! It's me again. x)
I have a question: the "Data Transfer" is only available in Blender 2.75 and higher but S4S only works with version 2.70. What to do?
