Thanks for responding so quickly orangemittens. I don't think that it is something that has gone wrong, it is more a case of I want to use a maxis wall (either a tile one, or one with panelling) so that I can place my own wallpaper on it and still have the tiles or panelling/trims showing. I also wanted to change the tile patterns themselves and add paint or wallpaper. i thought i could do this with a maxis wall but maybe I have to actually create my own wall to do this. i just don't know. I had been following Bakie's tut for how to create a wallpaper and put it on a maxis wall but to make the new texture fit a wall with trim I would have to crop it or something and then it would maybe look wrong. lol, I'm confused and have probably confused you too. Maybe i should just stick to plain wallpaper and forget about trims etc. (atrb_partsz)

Hi. I have been following the tutorials for recolouring plain walls and for wallpaper and floors but I am totally stuck at how to create a recolour or wallpaper using maxis walls that has panelling or tiles. When I try to do this in paintshop pro it just covers the entire wall hiding everything including tiles or panelling. Is there somewhere or someone who has created a tutorial for how to use the 2d editor for wall creation? i have searched online for days now and can't find anything. Thanks a lot, the tutorials are great.

Its worked orangemittens. I realised what I had done wrong. Instead of choosing 'create new object' I chose 'clone'. Now I need to go to the other tutorial that I had been trying as I had got stuck there too. It's the entire meshing tutorial. Don't think I'll figure that one out though somehow. Cheers :D

Thank you orangemittens. I'll just have to figure out how to post the package file :D i used an EA hutch mesh as I wanted to delete the goblets and plates (which I done successfully) and then I was going to put slots on the shelves. Maybe I should try the tree trunk instead to make sure I don't go wrong anywhere. I wonder if my deleting some meshes has interfered with the UV? I suppose that would make sense. I didn't hide the meshes either. Ooops

I'm not having much luck at all. Followed your clearly described tutorial but when I import the lod 0.blend file back to Sims 4 Studio i get an error message. The last part says that 'tangent space computation needs UV map, "(null)" not found, aborting. I assumed that the object would already have its UVMap and that this would be recognised. I wonder if I am using the wrong version of Sims 4 Studio or Blender? Sims 4 Studio v. 2.7.0.8 / Blender 2.70 :

I have had great fun following your tutorial, so helpful and clear, thank you. However, I have got stuck on no.67 just after positioning the face of the cube. I grab the vertical rectangle and move it around in the box but it is not showing. The square face showed movement but not the rectangle. Don't know if this is a glitch with Blender or just me being daft and missing something! Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
