I also couldn’t export the UV map properly, Blender just hung. I think it’s an issue with 2.78 as I downloaded 2.79 and it exported fine 🙄

I'm having the exact same problem when exporting the shadow mesh. When I open it in Blender it is the object mesh complete with texture.
I also had problems importing LOD1 and LOD2, my painting was EA's original size but with my texture and not my larger square one (I'm working through the Start to Finish Object Tutorial for Absolute Beginners). I flicked between LODs and the catalogue/textures/meshes/tags tabs and it then showed up correctly.
Be interesting to know if it's just us or Apple Blossom.

The new mac version, 1.2.0.1, has improved the camera controls in the model viewer. You should no longer need a middle mouse button, and the rotation now works in all directions. I've listed the new controls below. These are subject to change in the future. Mouse: Rotate - Right-click and move the mouse (or two finger press and slide on the trackpad) Pan - Left-click and move the mouse (or one finger press and slide on the trackpad) Zoom - Mouse wheel (or two finger slide on the trackpad) Keyboard: Rotate - Shift + Arrow keys (or WASD) Pan - Arrow keys (or WASD) Zoom - Page Up/Page Down (or Q/E) Amazing! Thank you for the update, can’t wait to try it out later

If using an Apple mouse, right click and hold then move the mouse left and right. I'm using a Trackpad and doing the equivalent (two finger click and hold then swiping left and right) means I can rotate the object in the Studio viewer.

stuff Yes, that's exactly the same for me I have no interest in CAS so have been using S4S in a VM so I can edit object textures using Photoshop in macOS. It became such a long, drawn-out process that I never really got into it too much but now we can do that all in macOS it's great. Candy Apple is performing relatively quickly for me but I have to press the buttons a couple of times for anything to happen and entering text never goes smoothly. If I type a word it normally ends up with duplicate letters, like I've pressed the key twice instead of once. It is feeling buggy but is still useable so I'm happy to put up with it. The Warehouse issue is still there but flicking between the tabs seems to kick it into action... sometimes.

MisterS Ok andrew whether or not you continue to work on the Mac version is of course up to you. But as a Mac user there is nothing more frustrating on help forums than people who have no idea about the operating systems/hardware setups of Macs giving 'advice'. The assumption was made that all users use a specific type of mouse when that simply isn't the case. It's wonderful that you are providing a Mac version as support for Mac Simmers has always been woefully lacking. Hopefully now with the addition of objects you'll be reaching out to a wider audience. It's also very frustrating that some of us experiencing bugs cannot post them in the bug forum for you but I kind of understand why.

No idea that the official spool, I dont even know what a mac looks like Not sure what you mean by 'official spool'? Orangemittens has already confirmed above that the viewing controls in Candy Apple have not yet been fully optimised. If you don't even know what a Mac looks like, let alone how to work one, then maybe posting in a Mac specific thread with a standard copy and paste response that you don't fully understand isn't ideal? Granted a lot of Mac users, myself included, use a 3rd party mouse with scroll wheel when using some programs (Windows in a VM or Boot Camp, 3d tools for example) but it would be nice to be able to use the point and click devices that come with our Macs, such as the mouse or trackpad

The mac version currently has the following controls: Zoom: Hold the Option key down while scrolling with the mouse wheel. Pan: Scroll the mouse wheel with no key pressed, only up and down. Rotate: Hold down the left mouse button and move the mouse. An Apple mouse doesn’t have a scroll wheel, nor the trackpad. Zooming in and out on a trackpad can be done using 2 fingers up and down, the same might be true for an apple mouse.

Hi orangemittens, yes my Mac is all up to date. All drivers etc. come through Apple in OS updates so there is nothing for me to manually update. I don't run any antivirus/clean up apps/Firewall etc. so no conflictions there. I updated my game yesterday too.

Hi bluebellflora, yes, you can export images from the Studio tab. Do all items have this problem when you click on a resource line in the Warehouse or does it affect only this .package? If the issue is occurring with all items, I suspect something may be going on that is specific to your computer. Even a feature of the UI itself is missing in your screenshot. Hi orangemittens, it happens with all CC objects and EA objects, everything. I restarted my Mac, nothing else running (no antivirus etc.), tried in a new user account, still happened. My specs are: 2017 15" MacBook Pro with Touch Bar 3.1 GHz Intel Core i7 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3 Radeon Pro 560 4GB Intel HD Graphics 630 1536 MB macOS High Sierra 10.13 The OS switches to the AMD GPU when using Sims4Studio. If I flick between the Studio and Warehouse tabs a few times it will sometimes flash bright red in the viewing pane in Studio so possibly GPU related. I managed to get it to show in the warehouse tab by alternating between the two tabs finally. Are portions of the UI still missing?

orangemittens No problem, I understand I'm not able to post in the error report thread here but in Warehouse the images are not showing up in the right hand window when selected on the left: [img src=" " alt=" "] I can see the bump and specular maps under Textures in the Studio view though so presumably I can import and export from there without needing to do anything in Warehouse?

Hi bluebellflora, to get the view to pan up and down in the model viewer you can hold down the mouse wheel and move the mouse back and forth. Obviously, this is not optimal but it was the best that could be squeezed out of the code without a long delay in getting Candy Apple out. It was a bit of a rush because the model viewer in the Mac version was completely demolished by the latest Max OS update. To use the eye dropper, left click on the swatch thumbnail (the colored square), and it will bring up a Colors popup box. You can use the preset colors from the wheel or you can select the small eyedropper icon near the bottom left corner of the popup box. That will give you a magnifier circle that you can drag around anywhere on your computer screen. Once you've identified the color you want, left mouse click to select it. Ah yes, the usual eyedropper tool. Sorry, I'm so used to the Windows version! I don't use a mouse, only a trackpad, and an Apple mouse doesn't have a mouse wheel either. I tried the usual ALT/CMD/CTRL alternatives but nothing worked. Nevermind, just being able to recolour is fantastic

First of all THANK YOU! Being able to recolour in macOS and not needing to run Windows simultaneously is amazing. But I'm not sure of the controls.... In the Windows version I would right click (2 fingers on the trackpad) on the swatch colour then use the eyedropper to choose the colour from the recoloured object but that doesn't seem to work in the Mac version. Is there also a way of moving the object around in the viewer too? I can zoom in and out using the trackpad but not turn it or look down.

Hi bluebellflora, the marks on your painting in the game are coming from EA's bump image. This image is used to accentuate textures like the carved areas on the original frame. In looking at the sections of this tutorial, it seems I didn't get around to discussing this element. How I missed noticing this all this time is beyond me. Anyway, there is a tutorial HERE that goes over how to get rid of the EA bump. Basically, for your painting, you need a blank bump since you want it to look smooth instead of textured. I apologize for the confusion. Oh thank you! I've fixed it now and it looks great. Thank you so much for the tutorials, they are fantastic
