so it seems there may be a maximum amount of FX allowed per item.... guess will make the candles modular on the bottom similar to your OM EDIT so I went into the data of the tuning file and added more slots for the auto on and on functions ... still not working :(

this is more of a feasibility question than an actual how to .. I want to light all these candles , but will it impact the game too much ? should I rather do a selection ?

I make curves (or bends) in 3ds max in two ways, one being this method shown here in how you would achieve the same result in blender. The best way to keep faces down is not to make that many in the first place, always using dissolve get rid of edges you don't need. If you remove and edge through the center of a face and the face does not change shape it means you don't need it. When I put something from max into blender I never have to decimate because I keep them low poly from the onset. Also keep in mind the definition of low poly, any object under 1000 is fine as far as Im concerned, most of my tables/chairs are only in 100's The best way of increasing poly count is the use of modifiers, if you don't use them its hard to make anything to high of poly if you stay away from spheres and too many tubes Bump maps are a good way of creating the illusion of geometry. Baking textures hides flaws in low poly meshes, that's why you make them :D Verts while the count is annoying, will not impact the game Edit - are you using the latest version of studio, it supports the latest version of blender, Ive only started playing around with it but apparently hit handles the smoothing of objects better reducing the need to split edges. Learnt something new ! thanks MISTER S

CITY MEMOIRS COLLECTION - PALLET UPDATE This was probably the 1st set of meshes I ever shared with you guys. Well ive remeshed it all and optimized the poly’s. Set includes :
Love Seat ( has slots on top for small Decor ) Corner table (USE ALT KEY TO PRECISION PLACE ) Pillow Seat which is usable Log Coffee Table Hanging bulb in 3 wall heights
I dropped the sofa from 4000 poly to 1000 the hanging light was 9000 poly ( i know )…. its now 184 poly … yep Remove the original Pallet living set if you have it and use this one instead. Search using City Memoirs or Pallet

Hi , is there a way to toggle the swatch numbers on and off ?
I screen shot it for swatch previews and the numbers are a great addition but sometimes I wish we could toggle it off and on

Try this.
Before resizing , convert it into smart object.
Right click on the layer of the image ---> Convert it into Smart Object
then resize the smart object using Free Transform tool.
I found it helpful. But there would be a bit of a compromise in image quality.
Note: Do your edit work on the image before you go to smart object. Else you have to raster it again will sure be a loss in quality.
hope that helps

I changed the U2 to zero also and that made the bed not fade I don't know what all the unknowns in that resource do so it's a matter of trial and error to get things to work sometimes. The original tutorial said to just change all the U's but, since we don't know what they all do, the number was narrowed down to a single U that worked for the text light used to narrow things down. I'm not sure why that works for the light but not this bed. thanks heaps ! ill update and reupload the bed ... possibly u2 has to do with alpha maps ?
