I've cloned the base game dishwasher and have created a new mesh that I want to match the counters. To get the lighting right I changed the shaders from phong to counters, which works perfectly, but the dishwasher door no longer opens. Is there something I can do to fix this so that I can use the counters shader but also have the door animation work correctly?

I just tested it in my game, and it was ok. I had “view” and “study for historical insights” interactions available. Did you have MOO when you were testing? Maybe there was a routing problem via that?

Thanks Bakie I figured it must be an effect, I searched pretty thoroughly! I’ve modified a TS3 mesh for what I needed,

I've been trying to find the yachts that move around on the open water, but can't seem to find them with the other debug items in S4S. Are there some world items we don't have access to, or have I just missed this asset when I've been searching?

Hi greengirl, I think that the black/grey screen color may be the start of an effect or a video that gets played when the pc is activated, but I don't know for sure. If it IS the start of an effect, there's no way to change it at this point. If it's the start of a video, it maybe is, but will be quite difficult. Someone on MTS made some sort of tutorial for this, but it looks way to complicated for me: Custom tv channelsThanks so much. I'll check out the link and poke around a bit to see what I can find

Help needed.... I’m trying to make a new PC from a typewriter. Everything is awesome, except that I want the video screen to be white (like a piece of paper), not the standard dark grey, when it’s not being used. Does anyone know if this is possible and how to do it if yes?

I think I'm having a similar problem....
I'm trying to make a replacement mannequin, but with no success so far. I tried cloning it originally, but when that didn't work, have gone with the override option. I've replaced both the buy catalogue and debug mannequins, but STILL the old mannequin is what shows up in game, ie, it looks like the new object, until, immediately upon placing, it reverts to the original mannequin :/ Any help is much appreciated.

I can't really see anything wrong with the mesh or the slots, but I did notice that the original books object you cloned off of has an _FX_ slot that your plate doesn't. Perhaps you manually removing it is what is breaking your object? Thanks, doing that solved an issue with a different mesh recently, I'll give it a shot Hm, when I tried to clutter the shelves of one of my shops to the brim with those lovely bakery accessoires BrazenLotus made a while back, the game quite often went "object not found" on me too, with the object thereupon becoming useless. I don't think that there is anything actually wrong with BrazenLotus's items - or with yours - but I assume that if you place many slotted/stackable objects on a slotted surface and possibly turn move objects on too, to get the most possible clutterable amount of slots .... you at some point create errors through excessive cluttering not necessarily through faulty items. And looking at your plate, it certainly has a fair amount of slots which partly overlap with those of a table. I thought the same thing about the slots, andhave decided to remove some and minimize overlap.

Thanks for the help. I imported an .obj mesh and replaced the plates and adjusted the shadow plane size. the package is here

Did you delete the footprint or something? What are you cloning for your plates? no, I didn't delete the footprint, and I cloned the small 2 books clutter object (idk the name). Other than changing the meshes, I have added multiple slots at the base level (e.g for cutlery, napkins etc) and one in the middle of the surface of the plate.

I've been trying to make deco plates with slots for stacking, but occasionally get an error message "object not found". When it happens, the plate becomes useless and corrupts the game, making it unable to save. There doesn't seem to be any common reason why it happens, it appears randomly. I've tried using the plates from in game and also new meshes with the same thing happening with both. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks @misters Was it just a matter of playing around with the rig in blender until you got the rotation right, or was it simpler?

I'm wondering how you went with this? Ive failed every time lol I happened to see the accidental (?) sneak preview of the backyard set that is coming, and it appears to have a larger round table with more slots, if you can wait till then.

I'm trying to make a long planter box, cloned from the large square one. I've had no trouble moving the growing slots to be in a line instead of the original configuration, they work fine. My problem is that I would like to have more than one slot for large plants. Ie is like to grow 2 or 3 trees in the same box. So far I've tried copying the existing large slot and rig, and tried turning existing small slots into large slots. but those slots didn't work. What am I doing wrong?
