I had this kind of problem once. No matter how I tried to merge the split edges, remove doubles etc. once it was imported to s4s the program split the edge again. (it was full body outfit and the split was created around waist and it definitely didn't need that split there). Never figured out how to stop that.

Hello I'm experiencing some sort of strange issue with some of the very old cc objects of buy mode. These cc pieces are no longer supported/updated by the original creators so I'd like to fix them for myself. If I could get help with that task I'll much appreciate that! So about the problem: the broken objects seem to be slightly transparent. So, when I move the camera around I can see some dark shapes behind the object. I now spent a good hour and more to make manually sure I have no duplicates (thankfully I don't have many packages in my mods folder to begin with) Yet the mod detector marks many files as duplicates. Not only that but it marks several files to conflict witch each other (and duplicates) even if they have absolutely nothing to do with each other. So I believe the program really is glitching as you suspect Feyona . ( I used the version 2.2.300.0)

The cloning method of the tutorial posted earlier in this thread does work fine it's just a bit slow if I have many files which instances need to be changed. Sometimes cc I download has bunch of packages cloned from each other, the wrong way I assume, because the instances have not been changed, therefore, all the packages are seen as duplicates even if they do have different textures. For example when I scan all my packages via sims 4 mod conflict detector it marks certain eyebrows as duplicates ( example). So this is why I'm searching if there is a quick method to run files through something that changes the instances so the packages no longer are seen as the same files. Thank you inabadromance for taking your time with my confusing questions, I hope I'm not too much trouble for you, and I understand if you have no longer time for this.

Sorry to open this old conversation, but if someone can still help me out with this a bit: How exactly do we change the instances of resources of a CAS package? I just remember in sims 3 it was very easy to change the instance number. You just had to open the file in s3oc and run the function that gives the file a bran new instance, making it a new package. Unless there is no way to do that in s4s then I suppose it can't be helped.
Hopefully someone sees this message and might be able to help out, or give a push to right direction.

I kind of knew that method already, I just wished there was a simpler way haha. Such as copying the file on the desktop e.g 3 times and just changing their cc ID so the game saw them as different cc and then just open in s4s and change the category (or something like that). That way I wouldn't need to do all that file export/import hassle. But I suppose it is what it is. Anyway, thank you, I appreciate for replying me

Hello How to change the category of a skin detail cc? I downloaded a loverlid face detail here which is sadly only forehead file. I'd like to have it as other type of skin detail too, so not only as forehead. So basically can I copy this cc and have them all in my game but each as a different type? (forehead, freckles, mole and maybe even as make-up mask?) I appreciate any advice. Thank you for looking into this post!

Hi I hate to ask help so soon again, but I really like the headphones that came with the fitness stuff pack and I wished to make them into an accessory? (non-functional accessory, just aesthetic) I've bought the stuff pack, but I'm not sure how to start. I suppose I need to find the geom/mesh and texture files from the fullbuild package, perhaps with s4pe... but I've got no clue how exactly I find the specific files. I'm thankful for any advice, nudge to correct direction or recommendation on tutorial I should check out etc.

Hello I'm planning to recolor some eyebrows of another creator, but is it possible to make a recolor package that only works with the original ones? To explain myself clearer, let's say 'Pretty-Eyebrow package' has 1 brow with EA colors only -> I recolor the eyebrow with my own palette (not including the ea colors again) and then I make another package of that with a name 'Pretty-Eyebrow-recolors'. Now if you put my Pretty-Eyebrow-recolors package in the mods folder it shouldn't appear in the game, but only if the original Pretty-Eyebrow package is in the mods folder too. And also the new recolors swatches should show under the original Pretty-Eyebrow and not separately. Is this possible? I understand it's possible with files that have meshes, but I suppose not with simple texture files like eyebrows, or? Thanks in advance, I appreciate help or any advice!

Hello I tried to recolor some plants to dark tones for myself, but no matter if the texture for the sunflower is white, the flower appears to have yellow tint. Is there a setting I need to adjust so it stops getting the yellow tone? Or something else? Can anyone help? Thank you. Here are image examples: While it's white in s4studio and in photoshop:

Thanks for reply, but doing so still doesn't stop the randomize option applying the cc on the aliens. I really can't understand what allows the cc on aliens even if sims 4 studio clearly states it's not allowed for aliens or for random.

Hello Might someone help me with alien related issues? I already tried so many things and frankly I'm out of breath. So the problem: 1. how to make non-default eyes allowed for aliens but not allowed for random? (with sims 4 studio harmony (the latest 3.0.07) I tried to tick all cas parts as not allowed for random but even so when I use the randomize button in-game, the eyes still get pasted on aliens. I want to be able to use the eyes on aliens but not let them be used on random) 2. There are certain eyes that are allowed for human and show up in the eye section of humans (non-default) and are not allowed for aliens, but they still appear on Aliens if I hit the randomize button. (perhaps these eyes were based on alien eyes when they were created) The eyes themselves don't show up at all in the alien eye category at all, which makes this even more odd. The eyes only show up on the alien when I hit randomize function. I don't want these eyes on aliens at all, I just want to use them on humans) 3. how to make accessories not allowed as random for aliens? I used the sims 4 studio batch fix to disallow items for random, but aliens still get them randomized on them. (basically I would like to have the ability to use these accessories on aliens as they show up in their accessories normally, but I don't want them to be able to use them randomly) Lot of these issues on aliens seem to be about the randomize function. Do I have to use Spe4 editor to fix these issues? How? Is it even possible to fix these issues? Thanks for any advice, help or directing me to a place that might help!
