Hi there, everybody! So I'm getting my feet wet with JPEXS, and I've found the file that I want to edit and exactly what code I want to change. When I try to save the changes to the script, I get this message: If I turn on automatic deobfuscation, then during my save I get this one error message: Even if I remove that entire nested if/then statement from the code, it still comes up with the error message and the imported file is having no effect. I'm using a copy of playerglobal.swc for Flash Player 30 that I downloaded from a repository. Anyone have any suggestions?

Man they made that WAY harder than it needed to be. I had to go to the website to get them all in one transaction, I could not get the Origin app to figure it out.

I'm wondering if an artistically inclined person would be interested in tackling making me a transporter pad. Basically what I'd want you to do is design it like it was going to be a shower. It's default would be like the first picture below (except with only 1 pad, not 6 like they show there) and then when the sim is using it, create the swirly effects like this. To be honest, this is for a project that's mostly on the back burner for now, but that's largely because I have no artistic skills and don't know if anyone would be in to making stuff like this. But if I did find someone willing to do this kinda stuff, well... one thing that's always bugged me about Star Trek over the last fifty years is its insistence with staying confined to military sci-fi stories aboard starships. I think there'd be a lot of cool things to explore about civilian life against that 24th Century backdrop, and I think a Sims 4: 24th Century Edition modpack would be a cool way to go about doing it. Anyway, this transporter is the first step. If someone can make one for me, I'm pretty sure I can tune the XML files to make it "work" by rerouting it as the way sims enter and exit a lot.

Well I looked at 'em, but they're all very... iconic, I guess is how I'd put it? Not generic enough to really focus on if one was, say, working on a superhero career track and wanted it to be the uniform for that kind of job. Plus it comes in adult and child (hero and sidekick), so that has extra value to me as well.

Hey, heads up for those of you who don't own the expansion packs or have always wanted to get someone in on the base game. Until February 9th, to celebrate the Sims turning 17, they're selling all the 39.99 stuff (expansion packs and base game) for 19.99, and the digital deluxe is on sale for 9.99 instead of 14.99. Game packs and stuff packs are still regular price.
Definitely a good time to dive in on that stuff. I only own the base game and vampires, so I'm definitely nabbing all three expansions tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm comfortable with that much. What I was hoping for though (and it sounds like it's just not there) was a straight up list that went sequentially with the decimal data, something like this: 14639:<!--Mood_Focused--> 31949:<!--aspiration_SecretAgent_Level3--> 99354:<!--Loot_Buff_Trait_NewJob_TraitActions--> But with all of them. I figured since Studio was documenting the elements in the tuning files when compiling them, it must logically have a list like that somewhere to pull from when it populates the tuning files. An even bigger pipe dream for me is a way to better intuit which calls to the string table come from what tuning files. For example, I know 0x19A1B313 in the String Lookup table contains the words "Vampire Powers", but I don't know which Tuning file (if any) calls on those words.

So correct me if I'm wrong, but when I've pulled XML data out of S4PE or some other source, I haven't seen such well documented <--commentary--> in them. So that means the S4S program is adding those when we extract using the extract tuning function, yes? Does that mean there's a database somewhere of which tag goes with what? Because I'd love to just see that database straight up, it would save me a lot of headaches.

Hi gang! So I love the Creator Studios, but there's no room for real dialogue in them beyond simply getting initial comments and likes from people. I'd love to hear revision ideas, constructive criticisms, and even just how the mods are being used, so I thought I'd make this thread to chat about 'em. And, of course, to shamelessly plug them. They can be found here. So far I've got two, one that manifests vampire powers in children and one that replaces the word 'plasma' with 'blood'. I'm working on a larger project to add sort of generational aspirations and careers, IE you complete an aspiration in childhood and it unlocks a Teen Career, then you get to the top of the Teen Career to unlock an Adult Career. In the more short term, I'm hoping to really dive into a system that I think gets overlooked too much, the Situations system. I think it would be fun to add at least a dozen custom situations to every career in the game. That'll probably be my next thing. Stay tuned for it!

This is an extremely simple mod; all it does is change the word 'plasma' to 'blood' every place where it's referencing another Sim. I chose to stick with Plasma for packs and fruits to distinguish it as an alternative source. Only actual Sims' blood is referred to as blood. If there's enough demand for me to do so, I can modify it to call them blood packs and blood fruit. Comments and likes are always appreciated, but if you're willing to give more detailed feedback, I keep a chat thread here for it!

I'm in on this too, if you still need hands. I have a pretty good grasp of modifying and adding traits.

Dipper's Child Vampire Overhaul Mod Version 0.7 Alpha
Are you tired of little vampires who don't feel like little vampires? Toss on this mod and they'll be the same foul blood-sucking plasma-sucking fiends as the rest of 'em! Comments and likes are always appreciated, but if you're willing to give more detailed feedback, I keep a chat thread here for it! Patch Notes: Version 0.7
- Released 1/30/17 (Figures I'd crack it right after releasing 0.5.2)
- Vampire Children can now feed on the living. Tastes like chicken!
- Human Children, conversely, can now be victims of vampire bites. It looks particularly gruesome when an adult vampire feeds on one, because where they'd normally grab an adult victim's waist, instead they wind up wringing the kid's neck.
- Vampire children can turn others into vampires, and human children can be turned.
- Vampire children can now practice Dark Meditation.
- Vampire children can drink cocktails of sun resistance, as well as the vampire cure. Hey, it may be alcoholic, but it's also life and (un)death.
- Fake vampire wannabes now come in all ages from Child through Adult.
- Vampire children can now get vampire-related whims.
- Known Issues: As Below.
Version 0.5.2
- Initial Release (1/30/17)
- Vampire Children now have the following vampire characteristics:
- Vulnerability to Sunlight (including ability to die by sunlight exposure)
- Hunger, Bladder and Energy Needs Removed
- Thirst Need Added
- Vampire Energy Bar Added
- Need to Drink Plasma in order to Replenish Thirst
- Child and Teen Vampires no longer age up naturally. Eternal life is a bummer that way.
- Child Vampires can now sleep in coffins to replenish Vampire Energy.
- Child Vampires can now drink plasma packs and eat plasma fruit to restore Thirst.
- All NPC Vampire Archetypes can now appear at any age from child through elder.
- Toddler vampires who age up to Child will receive the bat form power upon aging, in the same way that child vampires used to get the bat form when aging to Teen.
- Known Issues:
- As is often the case when child sims do adultish things, their legs have a tendency to stretch out really long.
- Currently vampire children do not have an XP bar, nor can they purchase powers or weaknesses. However, any vampire XP earned will be available if they should age up to Teen.
- Vampire children cannot feed on the living. (Fixed 0.7)
- Created vampire children do not get the bat form.
- Vampire children cannot use Dark Meditation, or most other vampire interface options. They can request training from more experienced vampires: I have no idea what happens when they do, haven't playtested that far yet. (Fixed 0.7)
- Child Vampires do not currently have a Dark Form.
Hope you enjoy!

Alright, so I found most of my answer, and it's pretty cool.
Objectives don't seem to be able to check what clothing sims are wearing. But what they CAN do is check for the existence of a buff on the sim, and apparently clothing can give sims buffs. There's an angry lion hat in the game, for example, and a file in tuning called Buff_Clothing_AngryLion. But when I look at that file, I don't see any reference to the actual hat as the source item that runs the script.
Leaving me back where I started in terms of the big question - how does the game "know" what clothing has been changed to? Has anyone found an answer to this?

Hey guys.
So I'm working on a content expansion mod and I need superhero costumes for it. These (http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=449947) look perfect for what I have in mind, but they're Sims 3 based. Can someone convert them to Sims 4 for me?
Full disclosure, I have sent a message to the content creator asking for permission to use them, but I haven't heard back yet. I am admittedly trying to jump the gun in anticipation of a positive response, but there does remain a slight chance that I'll be denied and your work will be for naught.
I would obviously be crediting both them and you in my release notes file.

Well, that pointed me in the right direction. I've got the category number and tagvaluenumber I needed. Now the question just becomes how to get a tuning file to reference them. I'm trying to think, is there anywhere in the game that does it now? The action of jumping in the pool must check to see if you're wearing a swimsuit before forcing you to change into it, right? Hmmm... Well, time for research mode. Thanks for the nudge!
