Hello, I finally found the way to place a mural in the spot I want to. Check the pic of the same mural placed in 3 different starting points. I made the mural following the tutorial and added 2 swatches with a displacement of 256 pixels to give me the option to choose the swatch suitable for a particular wall. How to do it? (Example of 3 walls wide mural) 1. - Do your mural the normal way according to the tutorial, this will be the swatch 1. 2. - Start with an empty pic width the double of your mural 768*2 =1.536 for each height. 3. - Place your mural at the left AND at the right half of the empty pic. 4. – Put vertical guidelines each 256 pixels. 5. - Skip the first 256 piece and copy the next 3 together to a new pic, make the swatch 2 the normal way with this new pic, except that you don’t need to modify the Material Definition (is already done with the first swatch) 6. - Repeat the point 5- above skipping the next 256 piece and make the swatch 3 the normal way.

Hello.
Problem solved: I upgraded to Sims4Studio Love and the murals just came easily following the tutorial, with only one variation: I scaled the walls to 256 (not 512) x 512, 512 and 1024 medium, short and tall walls respectively.
Feu! I cannot tell the time I spent trying to get it work!
Anyway, I now witness the same problem that is the game who decides where to place the mural, fact that is a problem when you don't have a lot of wall space. So my funny way to make swatches to place the mural is still useful for this cases.
Thank you, and Sims4Studio for the motivational punch that give me all the time

Hi tacha75, Studio is having an issue with some items that, like this particular door, have a glass component to them. The team is working on getting an update that addresses the problem. Good day, and an endless word of admiration for the good and inspiring work you are doing. I am working on re-sizing and transforming an EA door, I still need to add the new glass but the re-sizing worked well following the directions given previously in this post, my problem that I want to show you is that the doorway in the wall did not re-size the same way. This would have been unnoticed if the door was opaque, but the transparency of the glass shows the wall unchanged. I was looking at the Slot-Container values and notice that the transform value remains unchanged, but I don't know if this is the way to look for a solution. The color yellowish is from the wall painting behind. The scale I used is 1.05,1.35,1.05

Hello, First of all I recognize my misunderstanding, And not as a defense but to help other users I want to say this: Once you finish the point H.1. of the tutorial your mural is done, so save it and put it in the game. If you want to add swatches then continue to the point H.2. I did another mural in the regular way and did happened that the last piece of the mural is the only that I can place, and that is why I invented the other way of doing it in pieces controlled by swatches. I can confirm that the "2" or "1" as a second value in the Material Definition has nothing to do with this problem or its solution. I am thinking that Flora is asking for another parameter being adjusted to get the desire result. On the other hand, my color problem was solved doing the diffuse compression with BC3/DXT5 without Alpha, and only the normal and specular in the regular way. I attached Garden_mural.package (801.91 KB) the package of this new mural done in the regular way if you want to test it. Thanks for your time and patience.

That's true.
Since I have to put the mural one wall at a time I can decide where to start or end, even I can fill a room only with one of the swatches, or put a mural all the way backwards or mixed up if I want to. But no.... the idea is to place a mural as a mural, not as a collection of different walls, or isn't?
I am going to do another mural, this time without the Alpha compression to correct the color and see if I can repeat the same result.
I am thinking if that second value of "2" in the Material Definition has something to do with that behavior, but I don't want to change it before testing other alternatives.
By the way, your video is very good and nice.

Not a job, well, we are in the same hobby then! Although I am still trying to learn. This is the package, it is call dragons. Test it in short walls, other sizes have some drawing problems. dragons.package (773.3 KB)

You are incredible, don't you take a break on weekends? You must love your job! admirable!
I am using GIMP 2.8.14 I tried exporting from a DDS to a DDS with Alpha and mini-maps and also from a PNG to a DDS with Alpha and mini-maps, the result is the same. In both cases I ignored the options distance, luminance and inset bounding box and use default instead. Also didn't use dithering.
About hovering: I mean that when I select the mural icon and it gets into the mouse cursor y click on a wall and the last swatch get into it, next y go with the mouse cursor to the adjacent wall and the swatch remains the same... doesn't change for the next swatch so I have to click the swatch on the icon to get the next swatch and place it in the wall and so on. I can do that, yes. But the video is showing a different way that users might expect to do.
Thank you, thank you, thank you

Thank for your reply.
I saw your video, what I cannot do is to hover the wall and get the different swatches, it just get stuck in the last one. Even if I click several times in contiguous panels it still stuck.
On the other hand, you are quite right, my design was taking with transparency and that part became black. That doesn't matter to me, I just learnt that with this experience, but the colors of the pattern itself are completely washed out and even some colors definitively changed. I know they changed with the Alpha (DXT5) but, is this a must? Because it does not change the colors with DXT1.

Hello, I did try to make a Mural of 4 walls, following your instructions and I have some comments and questions as well: Maybe because I am using the Flora version of Sims4Studio the images showing the steps 1 and 2 are different but I found my way to put the values in their position correctly (the DifuseUVScale, SystemSingle() value 0.25) and save it instead of OK (step 3). But I notice that in your images the second value under the 0.25 is a 1.... not in Flora version, this second value is 2. I did not change it though. I did enter those values in all 3 Material Definitions after the first wall was ready and, before starting to put each of the next walls, I did "add swatch" once each time. When finish I save and tested it in the game. The result was not good: I had to place each wall at a time selecting the swatch (unlike the way shown in the video), and the color is distorted (I attached the pic showing the original model on top of the mural to see the comparison). What am I doing wrong? Attachments:

First of all let me congratulate you and your team. Great work you are doing!
I have a simple question: I am starting to learn using the Sims 4 Studio "Vogue" and there is no such Floor where to put a dot in a circle (Step 1 of the instructions). I guess that in this new version there is another way to reach the floors but I cannot find it. How can I reach a floor in the Vogue?
Thank you
