You'd need to export the mesh from S4S, open it in blender, delete the shadow groups, join the 3 object groups into one, export it to an .obj file, goto create new mesh and find a suitable base object in S4S, export that mesh, open in blender, import the mesh you made, rename the cuts to match, delete the bits you don't need, save, import into base object S4S (there's loads of tutorials for this and the rest of what you need to do).

So, if I'm converting meshes like seats and tables from the sims 3, can I use the slot coordinates from the original package to make slots in S4S? Also, is there any way to have the extracted meshes imported into blender at the same coordinates as the original? A lot of times the imported .obj meshes are way off and need moved into position. Thanks

Hallway Table Override
I always thought it annoying that the hallway tables didn't have a tv slot and got fed up of using the move cheat to place tvs.
The hallway tables are the perfect size and blend in way better than the existing tv stands, so I decided to make an override that gives each 2x1 hallway table a tv slot.
This is compatible for every pack and base game, so no one misses out.
All tables are found the Surfaces>Accent as usual. #override #slots #table #console #hallway #tv

I've also looked into converting the Sims 3 speedtrees, but there doesn't currently seem to be a way to do it. :(

Hi Terminathan The issue looks like a know problem with the game's shadows. Try following this tutorial from Peacemaker to see if it fixes it (remember to back up your file before trying it).

Thanks for the input. I think I might go and take a look at the bowling night stuff and see if i can make a matching palette.

So I converted the neon lights from TS3 Roaring Heights and I'd like some feedback. Are the colours choices ok? Do they fit in with the Sims 4 style? If anyone knows how to make the individual sections snap together a bit better please let me know. Thanks! x Neon Lights

menaceman44 If I break each door group into separate door frame/left door/right door groups and weight them individually, will the weights stay correct if I then join them back into one group?

Thanks menaceman!
I honestly don't know how this happened as I went through it all to make sure everything was weighted properly.
I must not have saved the changes [eyeroll]

I've been slowly converting Sims 3 items for Sims 4 and tried to convert my first door. I followed the tutorials here and the door looks great, but when the sims use it it stretches in a weird way. I think there's perhaps an issue with the weights but as I'm teaching myself as I go along I don't know how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks eta: I know the medium/low & med/low shadow meshes are not the right ones yet. I will fix them once the high meshes are ready. Door package
