I hope that its OK to post here.
I received a very NASTY email from EA today that I took offense to.
I have been a loyal Sims fan since day ONE.
I have created 100s of characters/people and uploaded them in the gallery.
I received an email today for uploading Anne Frank into the gallery.
They have banned me from the gallery for one week!
She has been up there since like 2018 or so. I did a redo I believe last year and NOW I receive this disgusting email.
There was no malicious intent to this character nor in my gallery have I ever uploaded offensive/sensitive material.
This is a bit EXTREME and I was just curious on Sims Community take on this.
They spoke to me like some common criminal that really hurts.
All the time and money I have put into The Sims this really hurts.
Gallery ID is tdamiano1970
There are more people that have uploaded her AND there are far worse in the gallery like Hitler, Stalin, and MANY MORE offensive creations.
WHY am I being targeted this way?
I have disputed this but they do not care. They have Spoken!
What do you all think about how they worded this to me?
Heart Broken!
Here is what the email said:
Hello,
We want to notify you that we have found your EA Account to be in violation of our Rules of Conduct.
While reviewing your account, we identified the following violation:
The Sims 4
Inappropriate Reference - Violence and Tragic Events
Custom Sims Character: "Anne Frank update"
Being part of a gaming community should be positive, fun, fair, and safe for all. This means that we take any breaches of our Rules of Conduct, including toxic behavior, very seriously. We outline our commitment to this in our Positive Play Charter: www.ea.com/commitments/positive-play/charter.
Since this is a serious violation, we are suspending your account for 168 hours (one week), effective immediately.
At this point, your risk of an account ban is high, so we would ask you to reconsider your behavior if you want to continue playing on your account.
