How would you make a recolor of an object that came with the game from an EP for example, without including the mesh? Does this tutorial work for that?

I notice the cut number for the new mesh is 2, but the original is 1. I am sure that is why it is not importing correctly.

At frostious, I was able to get the duck to show up by itself as a deco object in S4S. If you can attach the package file I can take a look at it and let you know how to fix it.

I just want to say thanks for this tutorial as it was easy to follow. I am in the midst of converting a lot of my objects from sims 3 and I cannot believe how easy this is, again thank you!

I am really struggling on making my texture tileable while cutting it to 768. Any suggestions? It is a stone wall and I cant cut it anywhere to make the edges match up but make the middle match up to. I always make a 256x256 pattern for anything thing I will use to create walls etc. in the Sims. This way I can tile the pattern any way I like.
