microgulash I'm so sorry about Xena. She sounds like an amazing buddy to have, and I agree - I tend to think of the animals I know as "People", just not "Human People" and I like how they can see right through bull*poop* and ego playing. There are quite a few animals in my life but they are not "my pets" - they are my flatmates and/or they are holding me hostage (particularly the cats). orangemittens that was very beautiful of you to share that experience with us. I've spent most of this summer working to save two newborn sick kittens and their mother, two of the three survived and are well, but it really is a nightmare emotionally (and additionally for the purse, but who cares, Life is Life, and worth every cent and tear). Your tortie must have been a beauty, inside and out. You both did the right thing. Here's a song for you all - hopefully it doesn't make you sad (at least in a bad way) (The Lion Sleeps Tonight).

Sorry for answering you late, fataperdia, I was ill but I'm in recovery now. Te comento algunas cosas que mencionaste: OK, if I understand you correctly, you want to un-clutter CAS by joining the package that contains the mesh with other packages that contain recolors of it. It's certainly a good idea but I'm not sure how to do it except how you are already proceeding, importing the DDS (RLES) one by one into the main package, and even that might not always turn out perfect because I think the recolors might contain some shared resource that is different from the original (for example, aside from the main image, there is a "specular" image that determines the shine and another image (bump map) that determines surface highlights, etc, which might not look the same). I think (according to this thread) that the batch export tool is not designed for working with images, you may have to change the file extension. 2) Change the data contained in the recolor packages so it will appear as additional swatches: I think that is not possible because when each package is created, the first thing that is determined is the type of package, whether it contains the mesh, whether they are added swatches or new entries. I will also tag Mathcope, he might know how to do something like this.3) Lo de "CAS Part" creo que te refieres a los thumbnails/miniaturas - si son simplemente muestras de color en lugar de exportar/importar, mejor hacerlas en un momento, pero en la pestaña de Studio no Warehouse (sobre la casilla donde debe estar el color de la muestra haces click derecho, te saldrá el cuentagotas y eso lo usas sobre el maniquí para tomar una muestra representativa del color). 3) About the "CAS Part" I think you mean the thumbnails - if they are just color swatches, rather than exporting/importing them, it will be easier to just make them anew, but from the Studio tab not the Warehouse tab (if you right click over the box where the swatch color appears, you will get an eyedropper that you can use over the model to take a sample of the color).Siento no haber sido de más ayuda! I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help! But it really is a good question, so I will be paying attention to whatever orangemittens and Mathcope say. Hope you are well and happy Simming!! Feel free to ask again/ask more if you have more issues.

Hola fataperdia! Hi fataperdia! Welcome to the forums! What is your question? If it is about a particular tutorial the best thing is to comment on it directly on its own thread and don't worry, there are lots of people here who don't have English as their native language, we just do what we can with whatever level we have (a "copy and paste" from Google is fine too!). However, if you wish you can ask your question here in Spanish and we will answer you here directly (if we know the answer) or we can translate it and tag the relevant person so they can see the question. Thanks for visiting!

Oh thank you Feyona! I did not know that. I've an idea, I'll try to follow the tutorial as it is as it's something I want to learn and will take screenshots as I go along, and if it works out, maybe I can post them here via imgur so anyone who later on looks for this tutorial can have some image references to follow. And if I find any difficulties I'll post the queries here. Would that make sense? Thanks again.

microgulash I knew you'd be back (rofl). On behalf of RedFeather, please make sure your Meowster has had breakfast before showing up at the office. To counter your Young Folks, here is Stromae's Carmen, it's in [Belgian] French, subtitled in English and does a good job of criticizing today's substitution of meaningful interpersonal relationships with brief self centred, superficial online interactions - sounds like a mouthful but it's a great cartoon and easy to understand.

Sorry orangemittens! I've reuploaded to Dropbox here. By the way I saw a similar thread but not sure it is the same issue and if it was resolved here.

Hi everyone! I have a little issue with generating thumbnails for kitchen counters. I retextured/recoloured the Cargeaux counter and most thumbnails seemed to generate fine (the main thumbnail was generated for the mesh piece labelled " tile", it's your basic normal rectangular modular piece, not the " corners" or " end pieces"), but a few swatches had thumbnails of the " inner corner" modular counter instead of the "tile" counter. Example of "correct" thumbnail: Example of "wrong" thumbnail: I thought it was because I perhaps had not placed the main mesh in game and therefore had not generated a thumbnail for it, so I did a test placing all of the meshes in game ( left end piece, right end piece, etc) (by the way the mesh itself is unaltered and not the issue, it is placed correctly) and found out that even for the thumbnails where I previously had the "correct" thumbnail generated (for the tile counter), it was later substituted for the " inner corner". I had previously used the batch fix to delete cc thumbnails for these pieces and also d eleted the thumbnail cache before starting the game so theoretically if I'd accidentally substituted any it should have updated, I think. Here is what I was verifying in-game: Any ideas on how to automatically generate the thumbnail for the missing tile counter, am I doing anything wrong? Also I wanted to ask if when I place the overlay unto the automatically generated thumbnail to create a custom thumbnail, does it place on thumbnails for all meshes included? Here (Zippyshare link) is the package is anyone wants to take a look. By the way, I know I could manually fabricate the missing thumbnails and import them, or try to generate a new package and only place the main mesh in game without testing any of testing any of the others, but I'd like thumbnails for all of the meshes, and to know how to avoid the issue in the future, as I still have a lot of unreleased counters and this one is around 36 swatches (x5 meshes, plus the matching islands and cabinet, etc). Thank you all in advance!

Awesome work sammoyke! You put so much work behind character development and history and the visual presentation too! You use poses so well and I love how you are one of few that can mix Maxis content with alpha style cc and make it work in a visually striking but balanced manner. Sammoyke and Takahashi make a beautiful (and sexy!) couple. May I ask what the colored symbols mean, the ones underneath the alignment? I was trying to guess according to alignment but I couldn't.

Hi kayrielyn! Yes Zelrish is right - bluntly speaking, it should look fine in the game, you will not see the "flesh coloured streaks" as they are actually transparent, where the skin texture is referenced.

Hi simsoree I'm guessing that the rig was deleted or perhaps the mesh was rotated. Could you upload the package so we can take a look? Did you make/alter the mesh or is it a recolor?
