Did you check to see if the path for the game folder is correct? You can do that in the settings tab.

dsanyal1234 if this is a S4S problem im sure they are looking into it. It sounds to me like you did the right thing by deleting the S4S, I use the zip one too and when I want to install the new version I delete the S4S folder in document and the extracted folder. Did you empty out your recycle bin, restart and then install again S4S? Also make sure you have your game patched to the latest expansion pack.

I think its Portuguese but I could be wrong: dear friends, good morning,
I'm having trouble with couches, armchairs and frames, when I put them inside the house, objects get distorted, but if I put them out of a closed environment they appear normal, most of my custom content with this anomaly are from MXIMS, I've already sent messages to him, no response so far, so I came here to ask for help from you, thank you in advance
When you say distorted what do mean, there has been an shadow/ambient occlusion issue since the cats and dog patch. Can you attach a screenshot?

Can someone take a look at my blend and tell me what is wrong with it. When I import it to S4S there is a part from the bake that is showing through the glass and it shouldn't.

Yes. Import the mesh, the diffuse, and the recolor and it should look like you want it.

To make a recolor you can use the bake or the UV layout. Have you read "Start to Finish Object Tutorial For Absolute Beginners" by orangemittens, it covers how to do this. How to export the UV layout sims4studio.com/thread/1030/make-object-recolor-templateIn tutorial 3 of "Start to Finish Object Tutorial For Absolute Beginners" orange mittens is using the UV layout. If you want your mesh to have more details you use the bake method. "How mapping works & how to map & bake a cube: Part 1" by orangemittens helps you understand how to do this.

It did. And I was able to do it back then, but I forgot. I remember the window I was practicing with (Porthole Peeper) had two textures and the glass texture that could be imported but this window mesh im using from the game to guide me has only one texture (Extended Vertical Window) and that's what I want to figure out to do. Also I tried it with the Porthole Peeper and I found that my normals were flipped but I got that sorted out. What I can't figure out from trial and error and tutorials is how to bake the frames and the inside part for the one tetxture.
I was able to do it back then for the Porthole Peeper but I totally forgot :(. I'm sorry for being so bad at explaining myself.

One year ago I asked for help understanding what is needed to get a working window into the game. I was able to do it...but I forgot, I had to stop because of classes so I wasn't able to practice.
First of all, what I've been able to do right is the meshing and assigning the right cut numbers. But for the life of me I can't get the diffuse right, I was able to do it before but I honestly can't recall now.
My problem: 1)The diffuse I've imported to the warehouse and texture tab would be right for one side of the mesh, but not for the other side and the inside of the window.
If any one can help me again, I would be so grateful.

After some trial and error I got it working. If anyone is curious it was the wall cutout and my mesh. I couldn't figure out why it wasn't aligning correctly with the window after following this tutorial. I had to skip step 9, and for Step 1 - even though the vertex value was greater than 4 - I used the short cutout. So I fixed it by going into Ps and moving the layer up . I'm marking this as solved.
