You are looking for the Extrude Region Tab, use that and the "S" key (scale) tool to close the edges most of they way.
When I press "S" don't happens anything. I don't know D:

"Click object mode again, click on s4studio_mesh_1.001, then in edit mode you just want to select and delete the mesh where the skirt is. (select the back faces again)"
"Go back to object mode, s4studio_mesh_1.001 is the nude bottom you appended, click on it and hold shift and click on s4studio_mesh_2 (the original skirt mesh)"
In that two pases, I was lost D: I don't understand, because, if I click on slect and delete, s4sutdio_mesh_1.001 the s4studio_mesh_1.001 will disappear, and if it disappears, then I just cant click on it and hold shift D:
