I'm following this tutorial to add new names to the randomizer. However, the files she shows only contain names for sims, cats, dogs, foxes, horses, familiars, servos, and Plopsy usernames. I would like to add more names for other things you can name, like rabbits, chickens, cows and llamas, mini sheep and goats, and the My First Pet pets. Maybe even add more names for kids' toys, book titles, etc. Does anyone know where to find those in the game files? It's my first time doing this kind of modding so I'm not super familiar with how to find this info, I've just been following the tutorial. (Not sure if this is the best place to ask, I know S4S is more for CC than mods, but I don't know of any modding-specific forums)

As niksim mentioned above, being able to quickly edit the subject tags would be really nice.
Also, it would be good to have a batch fix to remove custom thumbnails from just CAS or just build/buy items. I like having custom thumbnails in CAS so I can figure out the creator, but I'd like to remove them for objects.

I'm looking for a child version of the leather braided bracelet for male sims: I'm re-making some recolours I did a while ago and I'd really like to make a matching child version, but I'm not a meshing person. Can anyone help me out?

Will there ever be an easier way to get default thumbnails than having to check the item in-game, or is that just how it works?

I have zero experience modding, only creating CC. I've been looking for a way to edit the name pool the game uses to name townies, because I'm tired of some of the kreative names Maxis came up with (Jayceon. JAYCEON! Pronounced like Jason, I think). I'm having a lot of trouble sorting out how to actually create this mod, never mind actually looking at the name list, because I haven't been able to get to it.
I'm looking for someone who knows more or less what they're doing when it comes to modding, who'd be able to get me the lists, and then create a mod with my new lists, which I hope isn't too much work. Either that, or explain to me how to do it myself! I mostly want this for personal use but I definitely wouldn't mind uploading it somewhere, too.
My goal with the name list would be to minimize the number of kreative/made-up/"I-have-white-middle-class-parents" names, and replace them with more names that aren't so American and modern, but are still recognizeable in English. So, more European names, some popular names from non-European cultures, and some older names that aren't as popular anymore.
Anyone interested?

I'm working on creating some gender converted items. I figured out that I can just edit the flags for accessories and such. My problem is, a few things aren't showing up in CAS because their categories don't have anything else in them. For example, I made a copy of a pair of basegame tights and changed the gender flags to male. But when I go into CAS, there is no tights category, so I can only see them in the broad accessories category. A bigger problem comes when I try to enable facial hair for female sims, because that category is completely absent.
Is there a way to make these unused categories visible so I can actually test out my items?

Is there a way to make it so the painting isn't a square? I'd like to make a few different sized rectangles but I'm not sure how.

So you're looking for someone to just make new colour swatches from the base design, correct? Like, colour editing of the .dds texture? If you've got the Photoshop layers I might be able to do it.

I'm going through and fixing the flags for some CC I downloaded plus deleting swatches I don't like, because randomly generated outfits are killing me. I see that there's some kind of mechanism for choosing clothes based on their colour palette, which, you know, is sweet. But I'm slightly confused by the palettes themselves... There's Spring, Summer and Winter... No Autumn. I gave myself a lesson on colour theory to help me sort properly but it's kind of useless when you only get to choose 3/4 of them. Anyone else confused by this/know why it's like that?
Also, someone may be able to answer this, but why are there no flags for the various styles EA has (Hipster, Preppy, etc.)? I feel like it would be too much trouble trying to decide what style your t-shirt is, but is that a thing we could in theory be able to flag for CC? Just curious.
