freeasabird I know nothing about meshing. Right now I am trying to just learn the easy stuff and work my way up from there. But if you can make a mesh go for it. I would love it. Right now I am having a problem with walls. I figured out paintings. now moving on to something else. after I get all of my recolor knowledge then it will be time to move on to more exciting things. maybe meshes.

Orangemittens I am having a problem. I used paint but I am not sure what I did wrong. I made the first 256x768 ctrl c ctrl v a 256x256 immage then saved as a 256x512 dds but it just does not look right. It is not as clear as the original image. Please take a look. 1drv.ms/1Mfhi0T

Mister you use the curved deck with rails and then you place the glass on them instead of the fence and they curve to the decking. you can adjust the height by using the different heights.

freeasabird no I do not mean the bay window. Someone at MTS made cuved glass fences (glass walls). You can place as fences and use as cuved glass walls. It works really cool. I just wish you place curtains on them. But someone would have to create a curved curtain.

Orangemittens Sorry I am a little confused. I wont have to use paint at all to do this right? I will use my dds files? I open a package in my projects, click at swatch, then import at this stage is where I use my already created dds file right? So sorry but I a new this . oops after re reading what you wrote I think I got this wrong. when I had used paint I just opened the jpeg copied and pasted over the image of the picture frame then I had saved as then imported to studio. I never kept a copy of the resized image that I used. I did a complete boo boo didnt I ? I do have the .package file and the dds file of what I created. But I do not have anything saved in paint.

Bakie Would I have to go thru each step again like 1. export texture 2. open paint copy paste picture save as 3. then import or could I just import texture and add a swatch?

Bakie this will not merge them together in the game correct? In order for me to put some as a group I have to re do them and do them as swatches correct? Is it better to merge them as you suggested because they are paintings or to re do some and make them as a swatch? The reason I ask is because I read a tutorial by orangemittens and she had stated that she would not do it to paintings and some objects because it cause the design tool in the game not to work. I was looking for a quick way but safe way to combine some of these.

Hi, I am panuts. I having been playing Sims since it first came out. I had done simple recolors and had always hoped someone would take time and teach me more. Since becoming a member here I am learning a lot. I had never used Gimp, a little paint, Never blender in which I am still afraid to use. But, now I have used paint and Gimp and I am learning with each new step thanks to Orangemitten, Andrew, Bakie, Mister, Lexicon and others. I appreciate everyones patience and help. The members Rock and you guys are wonderful. I hope to learn even more.
