Yesterday after downloading a few pieces of CC when dropping it into my Mods folder I noticed that all of my package files had changed to the S4S icon
As well as it automatically opening the file in S4S. While I don't think this is a S4S issue, it's probably something I've done but i was wondering if anyone here could help and let me know how to stop this. My game still runs, it's not a problem I'm just not sure why this has happened or why S4S is opening everytime I download something now. Wasn't sure where to post this as it's not really a S4S bug I don't think.

Ok, most of that makes perfect sense. Could anyone who uses Gimp explain to me how I put the pattern on other than with the bucket tool then? And how I select only the front or back. In my attempts I've been using the fuzzy select tool (think it's like magic wand) to select the top and not the black and white checker around it.

Hi there, First off thanks to everyone at S4S for what they do! I've played The Sims since the first installment but it's never occurred to me to even try to make my own CC but the introduction of S4S made it seem obtainable! Until I remembered that I'm completely technologically inept. I use Gimp, I also have Paint.net. I've sussed out how to recolour an item fairly easily with Gimp. I wanted to branch out into putting a pattern onto something. But I seem to be doing something wrong. Everything looks fine from the front and on the right hand side but the left repeats. I'm using a plain tank yftop_tank_white as the base to recolour. The only method I know and what I'm using in Gimp. Open the pattern in Gimp, right click and copy (to clipboard). Open the item I want to recolour and select the area I want to add the pattern to. Using the Bucket tool select fill Whole selection, pattern fill and select the pattern (from clipboard) in the menu of patterns. Then click on the area to fill. Is there a better way I should be doing this and how can I solve the issue of repeating on the one side? I've tried with multiple patterns =< When explaining things imagine not only am I 5 years old but I've had at least 6 shots of Tequila.
