Hello. After installing Wedding Stories and it's patch I haven't been able to create a CAS standalone or add-on package. I get an error. I've uninstalled S4S and reinstalled it. Cleaned out old batch fix packages but so far nothing works. imgur.com/a/q9E2LqwThis is the link to the full error text. www.mediafire.com/file/qhjvsprtbaoxytx/Log_2022-2-26.txt/fileEDIT: Nevermind, I see S4S needed an update. Sorry about my post.

Just tried recoloring the EA base game meshes again, still get the same brown film over my sims. The CC meshes are fine and show properly but the recolors are not showing right, they have the brown film over my whole sim. Would this be an EA issue with recoloring the meshes? I checked how the DDS is saving and it has the correct DXT5 save. I think that is right. I'm so confused right now.
Perhaps one (or more) of the the cc items is actually an override, not a standalone, meaning no matter how many times you recolor a skin/outfit/hair etc., the cc will override texture/mesh/whatever it was intended to override. Have you tried removing all CAS-related CC first, including your own previous recolors, and with all that removed, recolor a CAS item?
I'm using a no CC folder to play and tried my new recolors in that game play folder. I didn't make the RCs an override, just a standalone and they didn't work. Even the CC meshes won't show the RCs properly. The originals show up fine. ***EDIT*** Figured it out. Changed from saving the texture file as .dds to .png. Now my recolors work. Thanks to those that helped.

I hope that I can explain this right. Seems EA changed the basegame meshes, whatever was recolored or cloned from the base game meshes don't work after installing Discover University. The new, added content like hats, sweat shirts, full body tracksuits, shorts, joggers, cardigan with shirts, etc are not showing properly in the game. Is it possible to get a batch fix for that? Just wanted to know before I go fixing all my recolors one by one. I'm in tears thinking about it. Here's a link to my Tumblr post about this issue, picture is in the post. blewis50.tumblr.com/post/189080532622/a-heads-upHere's a link to one of the affected EA meshes I recolored but don't work in the game now. simfileshare.net/download/1452216/Just tried recoloring the EA base game meshes again, still get the same brown film over my sims. I do not have University yet so my meshes should not be distorted. I downloaded your tracksuit and exported the meshes.
When importing them, mesh 0 = LOD 0 and so forth. Hope that helps.
Edit: the "default" meshes are from a yf jumpsuit exported from my game. Might want to try those first.
Thank you. I really appreciate it. Wouldn't it be better for me to use the one in my game as I do have University installed? With that said, I need the new S4S update.

Question. Did you selectively clone your recolors, or were they stand-alone? Since meshes travel with stand-alone copies, I can't imagine those would be affected.
It was standalone.

I too would love to know how to add thumbnail images to CC that is missing it. Also if there is a way to combine recolors of the same item, just to make it easier because when the ability wasn't available there is lots of single recolors in my game. Working on the combining is a little tough right now.
Just a suggestion because right now I am in simming heaven with the new changes.

My eyes are so full of tears of joy right now...I can't even... you all are amazing. Thank Andrew for me, he works so hard for the sims community. I have to think up something to show my appreciation to all of you on the team.

So I finally fought my fear of working with s4pe and made some default replacement textures on the bassinet. Now I can't figure out how to get rid of the black rim at the bottom of the skirt. Is there a topic here with that or can you point me in the direction of a tutorial with the information. I am at a lost right now and really wanted to use these textures. Thank you in advance.

I tried the batch fix by putting all my CC counters in a folder inside the Mods folder and directed the batch fix to that folder as the destination. I still can't use the dishwashers on CC or even newly, recolored EA counters. I deleted caches in the game folder and can't think of anything else to try so I came here. Might do a voodoo dance next.
Oh yeah, in game after using the program to fix the counters I replaced all those counters in the game, the ones used on lots with the new, fixed ones, it's still not working. Help! :D

There were slots on the sinks with Sims 3, but noooo for Sims 4. Thank you for adding slots and I will be looking out for whatever else you add slots to. Thank you.
