I'm not sure what's going on here, but my chair is not placeable .I also made a sofa and did not have that issue. any help is greatly appreciated. UPDATE......I figured it out. It was a footprint issue. I just copied one from another chair and it fixed the problem

I doubt it's graphic card related. I made other items that didn't have that problem. Just wondering if it's my mesh or something s4s. Thanks for taking the time to look into it packageblend

I googled the forum up and down but couldn't find an answer. What causes part of the mesh to shine through? In game it does the same. Thank you for helping

Quick question... are the black spots/tears a problem with the uv bake or does it indicate a problem with the mesh? I checked mesh and couldn't really find anything wrong. thank you

I wanted to make two separate items initially, but I couldn't figure out what to base the frame on, so I ended up leaving it as one.( I'm still very much a beginner here, lol) I've attached the bed file. Thanks so much for taking the time to look into it. bedpackageor here link

I used a single bed as clone, separated the mattress. Build a new frame around it.
Like you had suggested, I kept UV map of mattress and put together into new UV map for the entire bed.
That was mainly it.
I should add that the bed frame only moves the moment Sims get under the cover, then it "slides" back to normal.

Hi,
everything worked out fine with my new bed, until the Sims want to actually sleep in it... the entire bed frame moves back and forth when they get in. I couldn't find any info on the subject.
Is there an easy fix for that?
Thank you....
