Raccoons have a different voice, so I suppose a trait could alter the voice. Besides that, you have to check how to add new sounds.

I don't know if the Sims 4 works like previous games, but the way of doing it in my opinion would be to make it like a school career (School are generally forced careers for children and teens in the game). So you would create a "daycare career", that parents could make their toddlers join (like a new interaction with the phone). You could create multiple ones with different hours to fit the parent's career. They could learn something from it, have tasks, etc. I dunno if you can make the parents "pay", with something like a negative salary to the career. If not, you would have to create a different system to make the parents pay, or make it free. It could even be an active career, where you would follow your toddler to the daycare with tasks to do (like Go to School). I'm not a modder, just some ideas.

From what I understand, you need to change the file association, it is somewhat simple to do. When you install a program, that program can associate certain file extensions to be opened with it. The Sims don't do it for .package because the game can't open a .package file directly, it just uses it. That's why it doesn't change on your computer even if you reinstall the game. You can check this, it should resolve your problem: www.lifewire.com/how-to-change-file-associations-in-windows-2624477Notice that for the computer, there is no difference between a Sims 2 .package, a Sims 3 .package or a Sims 4 .package, so the application you will choose to open a .package file will affect all of them. You can still choose a different program if you do a right click before opening the file.

After some research (few years haha), these aren't standard .SGI files, I think it might stand for "Sim Gallery Image", so just a name picked randomly by EA. Both are images, just not the same format. There is also .HHI files, could mean "HouseHold Image". For lots, the images are .BPI, could mean something like "Build P???? Image".
It seems it is packed .PNG or .JPG files. You can open it with S4TI, or use the cache package technique (mentioned by lavsm) and open it with a program that can open .package files.

I have the same question, can't figure out how to "view" these images. Maybe it's compressed format. It isn't a valid .SGI file for sure.
