Can you show an image of what exactly is the issue you're having? I'm not quite understanding it. Also isn't your game supposed to be inside Origin Game's folder? I'll take a screenshot. Well... it is not inside origin for undisclosed reasons. hehe

Yes .package files are readable the same way by the game. Whatever system you are running as long as they are located in the correct folder. Awesome. Gonna have a lot of fun with this.

I am using the windows version of S4S as it has way better features but I'd like to actually play my modded version of Sims 4 on my mac because I'm running windows in virtual box so it doesn't run as smooth as it does on my mac.
So once I've made a modded .package on windows can I just put it in the Sims 4 files on my mac and it'll work or?

the thumbnail list of items isn't showing up , my sims 4 studio appear white and empty ...no clothes and no objects. I can only see the custom content that i download from internet. It's hard for me to explain the problems because i don't speak english, i try to post some pics : 1) This is what i see when i try to create a CAS standalone ( same thing for the other options ) imgur.com/a/ufV8X2) I can only use this : imgur.com/a/AmpTQ But although I can see my cc , i can't recolor these cc because they will be transparent in game, and my sims will be naked. Thanks for the reply ! I have this exact issue. Is it a bug or something? All my paths are correct.

It shows 5 options and they all relate to recolourables...
My settings look like this:
Sims 4 Path | C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 Sims 4 Documents | C:\Users\James\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 Blender Path: | C\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender\blender.exe
Just wondered where I'm going wrong. I'm using the windows version. Thanks.

"Unable to to find The Sims 4. Please configure your game path."
I do have Sims 4 installed and running from Applications on my Mac and it plays fine and it recognises the path in settings. It looks like this:
The Sims 4: Applications > The Sims 4 Sims 4 Documents: Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 Blender Path: Applications > Blender
I just don't understand where I'm going wrong here. I have a lot of experience in modding games but am new to modding the Sims so any help would be very much appreciated. Seems like a fun game to mod. Thanks in advance.
