Hi!
So I was wondering what file type I should export items if say I want to take X blender object from File 1 and import it into File 2.
I have tried using .obj files, but when they are imported I get some weird error message in blender saying it can't save because its missing X.png and y.png.
I know it must able to be done, but which do I export the mesh from File 1 to File 2.

I'm having the same problem.
I also have a new computer so (getting the same error on my other mac) it can't even find the file.

Buy Mode: When I go to add a palette to my object, the colors transfer fine, however, when I go to click on the texture button it crashes S4S and the error report. I reopen the tool and its fine. I have the latest patched game and I'm running macOS Mojave.
I am also experiencing things were the buy mode object doesn't keep the title I give it. I save, close, and reopen, lo and behold, the title is the original one.
Weird and trippy stuff I tell you!

So I am trying to edit a Maxis bottom and I’m running into a blender issue that may or may not be resolvable. I want to edit all three sections at once but when all three are selected in object mode, the last one selected only being editable in edit mode. Usually in blender all three would be editable in edit mode when selected.

How do I work on all three in edit mode?

YES! The non-gameplay content is great. Plus the goofiness of my sims learning yoga makes it all worth it. :D

I loved 1. It was hilarious, madcap fun. With 1 there was little point to the game and it was fun seeing adults dominate the play. I NEED a dance cage.
Personally, I just want Generations to come because it will quiet the people who want infants sorry not sorry.
Personally, I don't mind plunking smaller amounts on game and stuff packs, but they need to be substantial or interesting. I don't feel like I need to buy everything as the clothes can be modded for the base game. I will likely get patio and spa day.
Expansions I want to see: I really want the Sims 1 Superstar celebrity system back, I thought they did it the best. Sims 2 university was quicker and easier than 3.
I loath pets again sorry not sorry, but I wish they would bring infants before pets.
They need seasons. Sims 2 was great of what I had (Mac player and by the time the ending packs came out, I moved on).
4 has been great. Tons of improvements and the modding community is brighter. Personally, some of the omissions have been okay with me, granted I came in about ~5-7 months after release. They brought more madcap, but there needs to be more. That is why I miss the first one sooooooo much!

Hi guys,
I was wondering if I could move my game files across OSs. I have a mac with bootcamp and would like to play the game on the mac version. When I play through origin, are the files saved in program files (windows) or are they saved within origin?
I would keep the sims on my windows because otherwise I can't mod (and play FFXIV when I have the money), but it would be nice to play on my mac.

Oh oh, I know that, but the mesh I used requires the original file in the game's mod file. I used to be able to create a clone that kept the mesh in the same file so I wouldn't need the original file in the game's mod file. But this changed with the mesh that I cloned after updating Sims4Studio, which I had to have the original file and my own content in game's mod file.
I was wondering if this was a change in the program or if this was something that is the mesh creator had designated in their file, or if this requires me to hit something different on the main menu. (normally I just click create a standalone.)

Hi,
Another creator and I are curious on why we need the original mesh object in-game for CAS items post the newest version of Love. I could clone the CAS part fine and have it work on its own, but now it seems to be requiring the mesh. Is this a change to the system, a new button needs to be pushed, or something mesh creator side? Obviously we want to follow TOUs, but it struck us as odd that it changed.
