Hi Med, sorry for the late response...I missed this when you posted it. You need to make sure the vertices that are doubled that you want to remove are selected before you click to remove doubles. If you don't no doubles will be removed. I know the topic isn't quite the same but I wrote a tutorial showing how to convert a Sims 2 object to Sims 4 that goes over how to combine two separate meshes each with its own UV map into one mesh group that shares the same UV map. I think that tutorial might help with question number 2. You definitely don't need to worry about the Materials and Textures tabs for this. Hey Orangemittens, thanks a lot for the reply! I tried to select them in the wireframe view to make sure that i selected all the vertices, because recently on another tutorial thread (shorten a mesh) you helped me with selecting vertices from wireframe mode, it worked like a charm! :D But i guess it didn't work on this case? (I switched to wireframe and tried both box select and circle select) About the Sims 2 to sims 4 UV map tutorial you mentioned, could you please give me a link? I'd love to see it, it's where i'm most confused about. Thanks again!

Love this tutorial, gave me a lot of inspiration, but it seems so much more complicated when I'm trying to do it myself... here is a screenshot of what i'm trying to make, because it's a top and a body instead of a bottom and a body, I got a bit lost... So i have some questions: 1. I've managed to stitch the sleeves and dress together, at least it looks like so, but I can't remove double, when i try to do that, blender just says removed 0 vertices, and i can still grab a vertex and it leaves a hole (i hope u know what i mean, like they r actually 2 vertices..) i don't know what's the problem 2. I'm really confused about content in the material and texture panel, as I joined two meshes together, but even if I joined them there are still 2 diffuse maps and i already got completely lost, so I can't even move to the part where i can edit uv maps, because that looks totally not right... basically i just got stuck at this step... I have my blender file here, could someone please help? Like explain how should I proceed, what should I do with the diffuse maps in both material and texture tabs? and how to actually have my image in the uv editing panel show up on the mesh... Thanks in advance!!!!

I'm quite new to blender, when I try to select the edge, it only select half, when I try to add the back half, the edge on the side would also be selected together, I'm really confused, couldn't deselect these two side lines, can someone help please? Thanks a lot!
