You make your hair texture in .dds with the background tranceperant so your able to get that effect like in that video. And then the steps I told that you need to do in s4s.

By vieuwing your images do I see what the problem is :3 Its not so hard to fix. I dont use blender but I can tell what you need to do. In blender when you got the jacked mesh inported clone it. Hide the original jacked mesh. Now, delete the bottom of the jacked till the eara of the breasts of the sim also delete the top of the sleeves from shoulder to wrists. It should look like this but then your jacked in blender. If so then you have to reverse your mesh its verticals black on the outsite and white (texture) on the insite. Like this but then in blender. Now make the original visable again and select the chest part of the duplicate and scale ituntill it fits perfectly in the original. Do the same for the sleeves but do left and right separate when you scale them and let them fit right like the chest part. Then merge both into 1 mesh and export and inport in s4s and save. Do that for all lots. That should do it. For the invisable parts. For the problem on the back you will have to open your mesh in blender, select the backface and pull it abit away from the back of the sim.

The video only shows how to make a hair mesh made out a plane and how it looks with the hair texture on it. So do you mean about hair texture on a hairmesh?

For the 'trancperancy' dont forget the save and do the same for all geometry that are in the file.

For 'transperancy' on Clothing or hair you open your item in S4S and on the left side you see Studioand warehouse click on the warehousebutton. Then you click on Geometryand then on data (its next to 3dprevieuw and text) you will gain this screen: When you got that screen go to shader and change it into simglassThat should do the trick. Morphs are used in ts4 to let it fit any body type a sim can have a mesh without morphs will not allways work ingame. And in ts4 can you change a body of a sim as you wish so there will be 100 and more body types. To get all morphs you should use a ts4 base clothing or hair mesh and edit that mesh to fit for what you want. But for hair is that not allways needed so long you got the right bones on it.

Hi, You can create clothes for ts4 with planes, squirs, ... if you know how to make a fine clothing mesh with it and that you know well about UV mapping and texturing and assainging it to the right bones. But its easyer to export an basegame clothing mesh and edit it untill it looks like how you want it. S4S uses blender as 3dprogram but you also can use ms3d, 3dmax,... but then you will need to export it as .obj and inport it to blender and assaing the right bones in blender and export it as .blenderfile. I dont know if you can use that but you may use it to get idea's or refrence for your clothing.

Hi, I dont know that you still got a problem with 'making that top looking more realistic' but I might have some tips.
Since you said your new in this will I not say to create a mesh that looks like the top but when you open s4s and click on 'Create CaS Standalone' and the the big blue CASbutton. Then click under Gender: female, age: young adult and part type: clothing top. Wait till all tops are loaded and look trough the tops untill you find 1 thats fit the best for the top you want to create. If you want to be sure that every-one can downloade the top you did create then you have to look to a basegame top, you can see that by just holding your cursor on a top (without clickin on it) and then the name code and expancion appears on it, if it says basegame then you can be sure every-one can downloade it and use it in there game. Now, click on the ea top that fits the best by the top you want to create, wait for the field where you need to enter the name of the .package and go next. Export the top its old texture as .dds (or .png) and open it in your 2d-program you use (photoshop, gimp,...) and try to make your top on the ea texture. There are many tutorials that tell you how.
I dont know if its helpfull for you but thats the easyest way to do (atleast for me).

Hi, First of all thank you for the tut its realy great. Second, I did try it for myself and its working but I got a problem, I use gimp to make/edit .dds texturs but I cant change the alpha channel. I mean I cant color it like you did in the tut or in this tut sims4studio.com/thread/2544/get-emission-map?page=2You both use photoshop. So as far I get is that the alpha channel is black and the item I want to flash is white. I did try to change that by using a mask over the layer but that dont work. In the end the item is flashing ultra fast and I dont want that. I wanted a slow almoste non flashing. So I wanted to ask how I can edit the alpha channel in gimp? I did try to look on gimp forums and tutorials but non is helpeng.

This set haves 3 curtains: left site, right site and a middle. I did add many colors but ofc if you dont like them or cant find the color you want then you may create recolors but only when credit is given. Atm do the curtains only fit on middle lengt and large walls, but I will see to make a version for small walls aswell. The trim for the curtains are from my bedroom set and can be found here: lunenore.tumblr.com/post/131765153366/gothic-medievalbedsetts4#ts4#ts4cc#victorian#curtains
