I think something about windows or graphics card drivers changed recently, so 2.76 no longer works right on some computers That makes sense. Thanks for your help!

Hi. Can you try beta version with blender 2.79 instead? Do not forget to change blender path in s4s settings Changing back to the beta version of S4S and using Blender 2.79 has fixed the issue. Thank you!

Today I wanted to get back into making CC after not having done it for a while, so I went and downloaded the latest version of S4S (the Open Beta version, 3.2.0.2), and Blender 2.76b. However, when I exported the mesh, it showed up completely black in Blender. I looked through the forums to see if anyone else had this issue. I tried going through the fixes listed here and it didn't fix the issue. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Blender, but that didn't fix it. I tried deleteing the S4S folder in Documents like suggested in the linked thread so that S4S would generate a fresh folder, but that didn't fix it. I thought that maybe it was a bug with the Open Beta version, so I uninstalled S4S 3.2.0.2 and downloaded and installed the Community Tested version (3.1.6.3), and checked my settings to make sure the paths for the game and Blender were correct, but I'm still having the same issue. S4S Settings for reference: When exporting and then reimporting the mesh, it still has the texture in S4S, so it seems like it's an issue with Blender accessing the texture associated with the mesh. I'm at a loss for what else I can try to fix this issue.

I figured out the issue! I removed doubles on each cut, and then went through and separated the edges where it made sense to have seams on the mesh (I skipped the seams that EA usually has running up and down the sides and back of the mesh - it doesn't seem to have caused any problems for my mesh in-game so far to leave those seams out).

I have a dress that I'm working on, but I can't figure out this weird shading issue. It shows hard shadows around the seams and edges of the cuts in the mesh. I've left the vertices along those seams unmerged the same way that EA does. I know that merging the vertices is a quick fix, but then the mesh can only be one "cut" in order to have it as one object (mine currently has 3 cuts - if I were to merge it into one cut then I would have to start a new package file cloned from an EA mesh with one cut, and I'm not super keen on merging all of those seams and then having to import all of my files into the new package). (Also, I'm not sure if "cuts" is the right terminology, but by "cuts" I mean these in the pictures below) In the image below there is a comparison shot between my mesh and one of EA's meshes that has the same number of cuts and the same unmerged seams. I don't understand why the EA mesh is shaded smoothly even with the separate cuts, but my mesh isn't. Here is the package file for the item.

I suspect that this is probably because Sims 4 Studio still needs to be updated to be compatible with the latest patch. There was an issue with CAS items as well with the previous patch that the creators of S4S had to rectify. You'll have to wait until S4S is updated again for CAS items to work properly.

Hi, I came across this post while searching for a flamingo neon sign for TS4. There's one here. It's not a conversion of the TS2 one, but it's still pretty nice!

Not a silly question! I did have an invisible layer on the original one, but I tried inabadromance's suggestion and flattened the image and still had the same issue. I'll try it as a .png! I don't seem to be getting the same issue when I've imported a .png! I'll try it in-game and see if it is still having issues. Importing it as a .png has fixed it! Thank you!

Hi emyprice95 , Perhaps a silly question but is there any chance you have a layer turned off or invisible? If you save the .DDS file as a .PNG and view that in a regular image viewer do you see any evidence of the unexpected artifact? Not a silly question! Hi, I've been having an issue where, when I import a .dds for my shadow file into S4S, it creates a pink area in the RGB channel where the alpha is. This leads to there being a shadow on my mesh in-game where I don't want it to be. The pink part is not there when I save the .dds, it's only after I import it to S4S that it appears. I've tried importing multiple different .dds files to S4S, including both completely new files, as well as exporting the .dds file, editing out the pink part, and reimporting it, and the same thing keeps happening. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

Thank you littledica99 for your help. I went ahead and fixed up the UV map. It's looking great! :D It still has two issues that I'm struggling with though. 1. There is a strange bit of texture on the neck that I'm unsure where it's coming from 2. The breasts on this mesh don't slide from small to large like they do on normal meshes. I have no idea how to rectify this. Thanks in advance for any help. Edit to add: link to the updated package file Edit 2: don't worry about the clipping on the bottom of the vest, I'm working on fixing that

Hi, I'm having a little bit of trouble with a top that I've made. As I was a little disappointed with how some of the male tops look on female sims, I took a male top and edited the mesh myself to make it fit the female frame better. Now that I've finished altering the mesh, I've found that the texture is bleeding onto the sim. I'm unsure as to how to fix this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Link to package file is hereThanks in advance.

Is there a way to access these meshes to edit in Blender? I dislike how some of the meshes look (e.g. the pointy breasts on female-frame sims wearing masculine clothes).
