I would love if on the My CC browsing window we could see the Catalog Thumbnail for the item, it would be a great help for identifying CC we want (or don't want) to delete, specially CAS items like make-up or that have transparency and can be hard to identify in the 3D view window. Having 50+ gb of CC, managing it takes a lot of time and having to go in-game to check is nearly unthinkable.
You guys rule, thank you for everything.

I updated and batch-fixed everything, and then discovered a lot of CAS CC items have disappeared from the CAS catalog. Sims are still wearing them, but I can't locate them in the CAS columns, so if I remove them I can't use them again. This happened with shoes and make-up. Is anyone eles going through something like that?
EDIT: I believe I found out what is causing this. It seems CAS items without any "Fashion Choice" tag will not show up unless the "Fashion Preference" in the CAS Panel (Feminine/Masculine filter in CAS) is cleared. This wasn't an issue before, as the game used to transfer this information from the "Age & Gender Flags", which also has gender indications. Not anymore, so any CAS item without a Fashion Choice tag (a lot of CC) will not show up in the CAS catalag unless the Fashion Preference filter is cleared.
Not sure if this is a known issue, but I haven't found any info on it around the web, so I'll leave this here. Would be great if we could have a batch fix that creates these tags based on the "Age & Gender" ones. Either way, thank you.

I've been going through my Mods folder and reorganizing a lot of CC I have so they show up in the correct categories. By doing this, I've noticed the tags' names inside Sims 4 Studio are a bit obscure and I'm never sure of which category some items will appear in. For example: Microwave, Miscellaneous Appliances, Miscellaneous Appliances (small), it's difficult to know which is which.
Some don't have a proper category in the game's catalog either, like Clocks. Others have different names, like Decorations (wall) or Sculpture (wall), the first is called Paintings and Posters in game, and wall sculptures shouldn't be tagged with it, but it's hard to know.
I assume the Sims 4 Studio tags are taken from game system files, but they don't match what we actually see in game. If there was a way to make them more similar to what we actually see in the game's catalog I believe it could avoid a lot of confusion.
Anyway, thank you, S4S is a life saver anyway! <3

I'm cloning a set of pillows and blankets, and they have that weird transparency shadow that some objects have. I recloned the objects and removed the SSAO following Peacemaker's tutorial. I thought it had solved it, but then I noticed these weird ray shadows appearing in between the mesh pieces. I don't know what else I can try to solve this.
I cloned the stacked crates object to make all of these, because I wanted a floor sculpture that didn't have the "view art" option. And I made shadow LODs for all the meshes. I would love to understand this so it wouldn't happen again.
Here are some pictures of before and after removing the SSAO, and the package file for the pillows, which are showing the ray shadows, if anyone could help.

This is so interesting, it would be a great feature to further develop. I just gave it a try with a decorative object. I couldn't make it work with DDS textures, only PNG.

minimonster omg, SO frustrating. I've already replaced all the plants from the base game and right now I'm trying to make them look better and it seems that when they do, it's out of luck. There's no way in telling what they'll turn out to be in game, and I've waisted numerous hours working on this lol. I'm happy to see you agree with what I thought, so I must be on the right track. I have not found a link between the alpha shades and the color overlay, it seems even plants with all-white alphas will change colors along with the seasons. And I think I get it about not playing, lol, sometimes making CC is just more fun. About the color stripe, from what you say, it does interfere with the leaf colors, right? I'm glad to know that, as I had tweaked it a bit and didn't notice any changes. But now I'll try again. And np! : ) If I could ask, just, please, if you could let me know if you get any results with it? And I'll do the same? I'm just about to go crazy with this hahah!

I'm trying to learn to do this too, and happy to see a thread about it. minimonster I went through the same, I had made a lot of tree DRs and had to reclone them after Seasons. I found out working with DDS is much better because of the alpha. But there's still some stuff I'm trying to understand. Some alphas have grey bits and it seems those are the branches that disappear in winter? I saw some weird holes showing up in my leafs textures and I think it's because of that. About the color, I believe there is an independent DDS image that casts a hue over the plants? I believe this because I've made black and white leafs to test it and they still looked green in game. I've found this DST inside plant packages that is a small and thin image with colourful stripes, and I thought that might be it. Not sure, though. Do you know anything about it? Overall, I'm finding it hard to make good looking plants because of this color overlay that kind of nulls out the textures I make. Anyway, just thought I'd leave these comments here in case you or anyone else has more insight. I'd really like to figure this out.

Sims 4 - Functional Easels by Lanti
I always have artist sims in my game, so I thought I’d make a new easel, and throw in some colors while I’m at it.
This was also a meshing exercise for me. I wanted to make it look more delicate than EA’s, while still being functional. And I tried to make it very detailed, like it was a real easel, complete with screws, hinges, and adjustment handles. Poly count is 894 at the highest LOD. There’s also a deafult specular for the metal and plastic bits, to give it some additional texture.
There are 24 swatches in total: four wood tones, black, white, light grey, and five colors. Each has a “paint dripped” option. They were cloned after the latest patch, so you can drag them into a sim’s inventory.
Hope you enjoy

Sims 4 - Lanti Sanoysims Triangle Shelf
I’ve had these triangle shelves in my mods folder forever, and they finally broke with one of EA’s insane patches. Not wanting to get rid of these cuties, I decided to reclone and fix it, and ended up recoloring them too. They’re a conversion by Sanoysims, who kindly let me share them with the mesh included.
There are three different shelves, two have seven types of wood swatches, plus black, white, and a light teal. The third one has a metal structure, which comes in black and white, with all the 7 wood types each, plus black and white mixes, and teal. Not all swatches are pictured.
There’s a few deco slots, since now we can make stuff smaller, some things can fit in there. But I think they look good with nothing in them too. So they can be found in both Shelves and Wall Decoration categories.
The packages are merged. Hope you enjoy

Lanti - Sims 4 Grid Walls and Floors Pack
This is a building pack with seven matching items in black and white tiles grid insanity. This took me ages to make and a lot of headache with those wall sizes lol. I made a specular with a soft glow, unlike the hard reflection like EA’s. Textures were not resized to retain quality. All the item’s textures are seamless. Colors are black over white, white over black, black over black, white over white, stone gray and stone mixed grays. I’m thinking of doing some colors next time. Items: - Single color tile wall (7 swatches)
- Half tile, half white paint (7 swatches)
- Two tile colors half and half (42 swatches)
- Two tile colors baseboard height (42 swatches)
- White paint with baseboard tiles (7 swatches)
- Floors (7 swatches)
- Foundation (7 swatches)
I made the white paint parts to match my Black and White Wallpapers. Sorry for not including them, but I would have to make a new item just for it, without the bumps and specular from the tiles. You can find it here if you want it, but the pack works fine without it too. Enjoy : )

Does anyone know what is the instance for this texture in San Myshuno, in the Spice Market?
It goes all the way around these planters in the comunity lot there. I want to change this texture but I can't find it anywhere. I've gone through the debug files for City Living, I've overrided the rugs that look like them thinking it could be the same texture, and nothing. So I thought maybe someone had gone through this before me and had found the instance for it?
Thank you.

A combo of two clothing pieces for female sims. I’ve been holding on to this since forever because I didn’t have the time to finish it, but now it’s finally done. They’re basic clothing outfits to go jogging - or what not - in Adidas style, although I did leave some swatches without the brand’s design. I went for black-and-white, black on black and white on white, but there are some colors too. They can be found in Everyday, Party and Athletic categories, available for Teens through Elders, all life forms, and are restricted for nude, randoms and situational outfits. | Hoodie: 15 swatches, Clothing Top > Sweatshirts. | Leggings: 12 swatches, Clothing Bottom > Skin Thight Download separate files here(The Download button below is for merged files. Choose only one of them as they will conflict) #female #clothes #clothing #athletic #adidas #brand
