hi there! is there a way to remove the shine from only a certain part of the object? for example i'm trying to recolour a lamp. i want to remove the shine from the lampshade, but keep the shine on the lamp-pole (the metal parts). is there a way to do this? thanks in advance!

i have a couple of cc toyboxes and toys that aren't able to be used by toddlers in game. some of them are recolours of an ea item that currently DOES have toddler functionality, but the cc versions don't. how do i update these items to be used with toddlers? i know there are batch fixes for bookcases and counters, but i don't see any for general items. nor do i see a tag in the tag section. any ideas? thanks.

Hi petaldancing, I think you skipped step 4: "Click the little camera icon next to each mesh part that is NOT the frame or plane so they are greyed out." This is causing the glass part of your window to get baked along with the frame. Make sure to click the small camera icon next to all the glass parts of the mesh. This will cause Blender to exclude them from the bake. Once the glass is excluded you will see the dark outline of the frame only. you're right! i did forget to do that step. however after doing that step, i still end up with the same issue. :\ here's a screenshot of what it looks like in blender, as well as proof that everything but the frame and plane is deselected.

In the CutoutInfoTable resource change the CutoutTileWidth from 1 to 2 then you will need to edit the cutout itself by following my cutout tutorial HEREi'm following your tutorial, it's a little difficult to follow along since i'm new to blender. but i'm stuck on step 5, where it says to select the inside part of the bake png. my baked image doesn't have an inside part, it's just a solid black rectangle/window. i thought at first that maybe i selected the wrong mesh, so i tried baking with several different combos, but they always look like that. how do i know where my cut out is supposed to be when i can't see the inner part? if that makes sense. i'll upload the png so you can see what i'm talking about. see how the center isn't clear like your example window?

exactly what the title says; i'm struggling to figure out how to make a two-tile version of some of my favourite ea windows. i've seen it done before by modders like plasticbox (for example: here and here) but i don't see any tutorials on accomplishing this. :c does anyone know how to do this? i basically just want to make it so the window sits in the middle of two tiles instead of on only one tile. i figured i need to edit something in the warehouse, but i'm not sure. :/ the windows i want to edit are the base game double hung windows btw, for reference.

what should i do if the ea object has more meshes/shadows than my object? for example there are two shadow planes/maps (cut 0 and 1 respectively) and the actual mesh is cut 2. but my object has only one shadow (cut 0) and one mesh (cut 1). what do i do? i'm trying to turn an end table into a functioning dining table (it has the same height as a dining table so it should work) so i figured the easiest way would be to import the mesh and textures into an already existing ea dining table of the same shape.

hello!! i recently attempted to convert a ts2 chair and barstool to ts4 by following a very handy tutorial posted here. it turned out alright, but the texture is somewhat... flat. i recently found out about "bakes" and thought that would definitely be the perfect solution. i followed this tutorial over here: www.kitkatssimporium.com/create-a-bake-in-blender, but the result was strange... later i found out that ts2 conversion bakes end up looking strange, and thus need to be remapped? i have no idea what that entails, and i was just wondering if there are any tutorials to help with this specific problem?

hi! i have the same problem as mountain.top. i've edited the dds in photoshop to be solid black but whenever i import it into sims4studio it remains grey and like how it was before. :( any help? should i post the package? it's a cc recolour, if that makes a difference.

hi there! thank you for the helpful tutorial! i was wondering if this works with cc eyes? as in, can you export the texture of a cc eye and recolour that instead?

out of curiosity, does this new slot feature make the tutorial located here any easier/different? i'm hoping to add the same fridge slots found here to a cc fridge (that is based off of an ea fridge, so the dimensions are the same). should i follow that first tutorial or create new slots altogether by following this new jackpot tutorial? sorry if this makes zero sense lmao

(i'm not sure if compatibility is the correct word in this instance. also not sure if this is the right section to be posting this question...)
i'm really excited to use the new sims4studio jackpot version, but i'm hesitant due to the fact that my game is not updated to the latest patch. do you need to be on the latest ts4 patch in order for jackpot to work? will cc created with jackpot work in games that aren't updated? i really don't want to update. :c
edit: i think this thread should've been posted in the creator help board, my bad!
