Oh I think j is referring to the painting with glass, is it " paintwallc1x1x1_02_set1 " Was trying to remove parts of the painting itself and looks like the alpha is working in this one I mean this object: I've used it quite often in the past. Oh cool! Never noticed this one X'D Will remember this when I need too c:

I have a lamp I want to convert, one part of the lamp has glass, the other has a transparent portion. Therefore, I need an object with two alpha textures. In this case you can use the lamp " lighttablegfglass_01 " and add alpha to the other phong(the lamp base) this tutorial will help with it: sims4studio.com/thread/1037/make-object-transparency-add-alpha

Unfortunately that did not work with me. :( Hello, I understand now. Tried to do the same thing and the solution from orangemittens worked (But there are some folders missing in the backup, don't know why) Folders missing in my case: "shoes", "scripts". Sims4Studio Batch fix folder location: (Check the date you did the Delete CC thumbnail, to locate the subfolder, inside the Batch Fixes folder) If you are using windows C:[or where you installed the operating system] -> Users -> [username] -> Documents -> Sims 4 Studio -> Batch Fixes -> [year-month-day_hour-minutes-seconds] -> Backup

After you use the smooth shading in blender some faces may look odd, what i personally do is go to modifiers, the wrench icon and apply the edge split modifier, then you can play with the numbers until it looks fine. Don't forget to click apply! Thank you! I had a similar issue, when using flat shading the object shade was still looking weird in game This solved the issue :D

I accidentally deleted the thumbnails. Can I get them back again? Please excuse my bad English! Hello! What thumbnails exactly? the "swatch thumbnail colors", "custom thumbnail" or "catalog thumbnail" ? Here is a print of the program: If it's the catalog thumbnail the game will auto generate it when you select the object in build/buy mode The custom thumbnail is just an image that is an alternative to the swatch thumbnail colors (the little icon you see when you are choosing the recolor) But if you deleted a swatch you will need to add it again, select the texture, thumbnail color or custom thumb If it's a texture from an object/cas from the game you can create a new project just to pick the texture Sorry I didn't understand your question well XD

To get the mesh out of a Sims 2 item you need SimPe. Once you've downloaded SimPe then open the .package that has the mesh and export the mesh resource as illustrated in step 1 of this tutorial. My problem is in actually tracking down the package I want. The items I want to extract are rugs but this is what I see when I try to track down the rug under decorative. I managed to find the rug in the giant Object files and extracted everything I could see related, but I still have no packages and not sure where to find the mesh. The two rugs are from Freetime and the SimsPE I'm using (which seems to be the newest one) is for Apartment Life so maybe that's an issue? I'm not sure where to go from here. Hey, at least for the objects I have converted so far, the "Geometric Data Container" have the mesh/mesh parts and "Texture Image" or "Large Image File"(From maxis I found the bigger images there) have the texture images. Then you will select the meshes and images from each of the directories and click "preview" on SimPE to see if it's the part/image you want to export, since in images there are small and big ones, I always choose the big ones(Large Image File directory most of times) for better texture quality c: Hope I helped

The _bind_lid is parented to the transformBone. So you move the transformBone location not the _bind_lid. So change the _bind_lid postision back to the origonal location and then change the location of the transformBone. Thank you! Will do that
