ok all the links and description are a bit blinding for my rather simple question. I created a couch already in blender. Its done, but what now? Do i create the texture for it in blender and how do i start? Also how do i make this file into a package file suitable for the sims.
Is the sims 4 studio needed in all this process or is blender doing all the work already?

For the item to be placed on a shelf, should it be 3? Cause now my object is on 2 and can only sit on tables and desks.

Instructions 1. Open your project then choose the file you want to edit or recolor. 2. Click Warehouse. 3. Then click the first Object Definiton line on the left side. 4. Scroll down until you see the field for TuningID. Write 14961 in Tuning Id box. !!!Repeat for each Object Definiton line!!! 5. Click Footprint in Warehouse tab. 6. Scroll down until you see the field for LinkedSlotAreaOffSets. 7. Then click Edit Items. 8. Write in fields X= -1.720152E+28 Y= 0.212 9. Click Save. 10.Click Object Catalog in Warehouse tab. 11.Scroll down until you see the field for Slotting Behavior. Write in field 1 (for small clutter size) 2 (for medium clutter size) !!!Repeat for each Object Catalog line!!! 12. Click Save.
I have found this, but i dont have the option LinkedSlotAreaOffSets under footprint.. anyone who can help? I did the first steps untill i got stuck with this one.

I have certain clutter, that i want to be able to place on shelves. I couldnt find anything in the sims 4 studio that makes the difference between clutter that is placeable on shelves and for clutter that isnt.
How to do that?

I assumed they were the placeholder on a shelf. But im not sure. If not, how do you create placeholders on shelfs, tables etc. And if these little things ARE placeholders, how do i select and move them. I know this isnt related to the ts4 studio, but probably someones knows.

thanks. It doesnt have to be someone elses CC, but it also happens if you re-use a mesh you made yourself. I had already found out how to do it on this website. I just had to copy the mod.file and place it in:
documents/the sims 4 studio/mods and then open from TS4 studio under: make 3D mesh under the Objects tab. Thanks for your help.

I took a mesh/mod thats already made, copied it, edited it into something else, but it overwrites the original one in the game. How can i change that? I want both to work.
FYI: it has nothing to do with the same name. The new mesh is totally different, but apperently there is something in the coding that needs to be changed.

I did all the steps but my mural wall doesnt appear in the sims 4 studio program. I have a newer version than the one you used in the tutorial so i want to be sure i did everyhing right.
After i uploaded the image, i opened warehouse. Selected the first material defintion, clicked 'edit items' on the right side of 'items'. There i select 'diffuseUVscale' en changed the value on the side of 0 into 0.25. I checked it when i applied and its written 0.25. I did the same for the other 2 material definition. I saved them all seperately. And gone back to studio tab, but nothing changes in the wallpaper..
How?

I would like to know if theres a way to have an image stretch out over one whole wall in the sims 4? Cause now the image only covers 1 wall. With some textures it looks weird, cause of the color difference on the left and right side.
How does one do that?
