Just wanted to share that clearing the spec already made the texture mat. i did not have to go through the nvidia plug in.. I know i should do it anyway, but i am never sure where to install the folder. So with the other way I solved the question as well for now

I've had a chance to look at the packages and a couple EA fireplaces. The issue with the Heatseeker fireplace not importing vertex paint is that this fireplace was not set up by EA to have vertex paint. The original does not have vertex paint so Studio simply doesn't know what to do with that information and ignores it. The Manoir fireplace does have vertex paint on the original, and if you clone that one, a vertex painted mesh will round trip with the vertex paint intact. I'm not sure what you mean about mesh problems related to changing the price of the object. I would need to see the package and the original (pre-price change) .blend to look into that. I think this is simply the answer. The heatseeker fireplace can not be cloned and then edited with vertex paint, cause of the reason you described. That is clear fr me now thank you finding that out! I will use another fireplace from now on. The thing with the price was just something i thought was the issue, but it seems that in any way the exported mesh will not have vertex paint on it. I guess this isue is solved then THANKS!

You think its cause i deleted the slots for placing items on the fireplace? I have to say now i remember that the fireplace suddenly didnt work anymore after i decided to delete those slots since they aren't really a part of my fireplace. So now i cant make a fireplace without those slots?

Im very upset with this mesh. It just brings me trouble. I fix one problem and then the next one pops up out of nowhere it seems. I have already made 3 new meshes, but it doesnt look like thats the problem. This is the fireplace i am talking about: www.mediafire.com/file/ytm4zgwlmh13yrh/-FUR-%20Fireplace%20port%20design.packageFor some reason my sims can not light it up and they give direction error thoughbubble whenever i ask them to light it up. Can someone see why? At first i thought it was the height, but i made it a bit lower and that didnt work. I changed the footprint as well and there are no cheats uses with placing the fireplace. I am clueless..

Just tested in my game and it works as expected. I just took all the mods out of my game except the tree and it still doesnt work for me. Why would that be? It worked before.. The little lights were showing on the tree and now its just.. nothing. Just the room still lights up.

Just wanted to share that even with a game with no mods, just the one that i am testing. CC objects with created transparency (so not originally) wont work. Is there anyone else who experiences this?
All the mods i once had with transparency, just show full planes now. CC plants, that had already transparency in them are fine. Even if i make a new mesh with the latest s4s version, the transparency issue still shows up in the game.

Hi all, now that the latest version of Studio is out with batch-fixes for the distorted CAS items, benches, and 6-seat dining tables and a stronger fix for sofas/loveseats, I wanted to go through the thread and see what else is out there that requires batch fixing. Kaizoku-Gal , shortly after the patch came out we tried fixing the hair by blanking the normal, but that solution left the hairs fixed that way looking abnormally shiny. Your solution to swap in a blank normal appears to be a far superior fix and one worth doing. This will be added in as a batch-fix if all goes well. An example counter and refrigerator have been sent and these items will be batch-fixed if they differ from EA's updated versions in some way. The issue with the shadows is a little less clear-cut. From the pictures that people have posted, it almost seems as if there might be two different issues, but since I've not received any examples (if someone sent one and I missed it I apologize) I cannot be sure. Also, if the issue is affecting EA items also, this isn't a CC-specific issue and, instead, is something in the game code that EA will probably end up fixing. If they're going to fix it, it's not a good idea for us to do so because we may then end up having to make a batch-fix to back out changes that were rendered not only unnecessary but, possibly detrimental. In that case, I'd rather wait to find out what EA's plan is for the problem. If anyone is aware of a shadow problem that affects CC items only, please let me know and send an example item. It's fine to PM me an example item and it's far better to do that then just sending me a link. The issues with toilets at venues can be looked into if someone could send me a toilet with the problem (if someone sent one and I missed it, I apologize). Also, if you could give me a bit of step-by-step instruction on how to reproduce the problem in my game that would help (I'm not sure exactly under what circumstances the toilet doesn't work right and what it is doing that is wrong). If there's anything I missed, please let me know. There were so many things that got a bit screwy with this patch that it's hard to keep it all straight. If there are CC items that were rendered non-functional in some way that are amenable to batch-fixing we're willing to fix them. Information that is needed for a batch-fix: 1. is the problem one that only affects CC items. 2. are all CC items of that type affected by the problem 3. what is the item supposed to do (or look like) and what is it actually doing that's wrong 4. a .package that displays the problem. Thanks you so much for doing this! There are a few problems that i mentioned, where i wonder if others have this too. I wrote it a few comments above about the transparency issues and weird texture on all recolours of an object. If you want me to send the objects with weird textures, lamps that dont work anymore and CC with not showing transparency anymore, pls let me know

I used a different fireplace mesh from EA and now it seems to work. But i had this before and then for some reason if i open the package file later again to adjust something simple like the price, the mesh seems to be effected by that and gets the same issue again. I think in general, this is a weird issue.
I used the EA mesh: 'heat seaker fireplace' that had this problem. All though i cant say that this is causing the problem. I think i also used 'infernovision wall fireplace' before where the same problem occurred. Hope you can find the solution with this info. Going to test it in my game now.

Hi, i want to report that i have the same problem again. I have the latest version of s4s 3.1.0.5. I had the same with the previous version too. I have tried this in multple files now and without even saving the package, it already happens. I just import the vertex paint mesh and then export is, and the vertex paint is not there.. I have created a fresh new mesh and it still happens. I do not know what the problem is.. I am going to try it with different fireplace mesh now and without importing specs to see if it maybe is related to that.

Installed the new version 3.1.0.5 But it only fixed 1 CC item with the new batches. Yesterday when I opened my game, it crashed and Im sure its cause most CC is not compatible with the newest update. I do not have any problems with my sofa's anymore, the older batches worked for me on that. I still find problems with these: - CC fireplaces that sims cant interact with - Christmas tree where lights on/off option wont work (it must be caused by other broken CC, but need to do some research which one those are) - Lights that dont work - Weird black outlining on CC with transparency like plants. The edges do not seem smooth anymore. - Objects with edited transparency (So when it wasnt originally transparant already) are not transparent anymore. For example my CC fireplace. - CC objects like study desks, lights, even a EA single desk have weird texture on them. Recolours are then also all the same. Hope these examples helped to create a suitable batch Thanks for all the hard work again!!
