I'm kind of running out of time before leaving for work, and I've tried searching for this, but how do we replace portions of the actual sims 4 model viewed in studio? I am making some high waist jeans for kids but it's covered by the t-shirt, and I would like to make the tshirt into a nude top mesh. I think I've done this before, but I'm having brain fart... Do I have to create a default replacement mesh and place it in the studio folder or my mods folder?

Try following the video tutorial as inabadromance said, it's actually a quite simple tutorial to be honest. It's pretty much load file containing new mesh > append an ea mesh > set modifier to new mesh > adjust settings > apply > delete ea mesh. I tell you, it's a godsend for conversions and shoe making lol

Vertex Painting is one thing, but perhaps it could simply be your actual uv that is the issue. More specifically it is uv_1 that dictates how well your mesh will work with sliders and morphs. You can look at a tutorial here by eliavah or perhaps upload your .package and blend file so someone can have a closer look to be certain.

Yeah I had to just switch to a newer version as well. I actually still use the old version but the newer one for vertex painting

Combining underwear with a skirt wouldn't really work because the skirt has a plane underneath so you can't see under. Unless you are attempting to delete that plane so under the skirt will be visible? In that case, being able to your .package and .blend files would prove helpful.

You can use the skin detail method here or if you want to make a skin tone here As for uv mapping, this might be helpful here.

Also, when making a new mesh, it's best to clone a mesh that is very similar to yours. For example, the Maxis Skirt is about the same length and will have the proper cut numbers and groups so your skirt will work well with all shoes. Also, you can weight transfer from that mesh to yours and there will be a lot less clipping issues. The only issue is this pencil skirt unless made wider, will not work with most boots anyway, so yeah.

Okay, so I will try to use Harmony again but with 2.70. If that doesn't work, I guess I'll have to make due. I don't think posting a blend would help as none of the meshes will work in vertex paint mode, even EA meshes. Thank You.

Hey All, it's been awhile. I am having quite a few issues, but my main issue is that I cannot use the vertex painting option inside blender 2.70 -64bit. I went back to Studio Jackpot because Harmony in combination with Blender 2.78 is giving me too many issues when attempting to import any lods after 0, so i just gave up.
The downside however is that now that i am back to Studio Jackpot, which works just splendid, it is now Blender 2.70 on the other hand that won't allow me to properly paint my meshes in the vertex paint option. This is really important because I have some lights I am making and they're not going to light properly without this. I can turn the entire mesh one color, but using the brush to blend and mix is not an option. Any suggestion? Can I go back to an older version of Blender or will the 2.78 version work with Jackpot?
I'm just really over all of the uninstalling and installing of different versions to find one that'll work.

Hey there - so I am trying to create a larger corkboard for my entry foyer set but I noticed that the numbers are duplicated when I add slots. I attempted to change the numbers but they caused those pink triangles to show up. I just want to know if it is possible to do so? I'll attach a ref photo and a package file with a mock up design. Download the .Package
