I always use the grandfather clock; since it is already a statue (pretty much) it doesn't require much tuning

Hello, So I have an item that I made that worked fine and then I made some changes to the UV map and it shows up fine in Studio and Blender but in game, it seems to revert to the old UV map. I tried remaking the item with a different base item, deleting cashes, making it in Jackpot vs Harmony (no difference). I have double checked a bunch of things, so I must just be missing something. I am stumped. Thank you in advance! (ps. no worries about the shiny nature; I haven't changed the spec to the level I want yet) Blender FileSims Package Left - in Studio Right - in game

Hello! I know I haven't been active so much lately. Life has been very busy. In the few min here and there, I have been working on this project, and now (finally) it is finished Introducing the... Sabal Bedroom Set
The set includes nine items: Bed frame, Comforter/Blanket, Pillows, End Table, Lamp, Flowers, and three Paintings/Pictures. There is no mattress, so you will need to download (if you havent already) a separate mattress like Orange Mittens' or Peacemaker's. For more preview pictures, please see my tumblr- Simphony no. 4 Name: Sabal Double BedCost: 262 Category: Comfort/Beds About: Comes in 21 variations, which include ten base colors and eleven designs. Nice metal buttons frame the outside. Includes a variety of wood colors for the frame part, but with the mattress placed on it, you can’t really see them. Note! Bed is listed under “Beds” even though it is technically only a decoration (you need the separated mattresses to place on it, so sims can use it). Name: Sabal PillowsCost: 262 Category: Comfort/Bed & Decoration/Misc About: 20 variations that sort-of match the bed frames and blankets. Using the three (blanket/pillow/frame), i was able to come up with a variety of different styles without being all matchy-matchy. Note! I tested this in my game, and my sim can sleep in the bed with it on the bed, without any problem (just pretends it is not there). Name: Sabal Queensize Quilt
Cost: 262 Poly: 1616 Category: Comfort/Bed & Decoration/Misc About: Comes in 47 color and design variations. Many different combinations for the bedframe, pillows, and any other bed you might want to cover. Note! I tested this in my game, and my sim can sleep in the bed with it on the bed, without any problem (just pretends it is not there). Name: Sabal Ceramic Lamp Cost: 222 About: Twelve lamp variations of ceramic lamp. Copper, gold and wrought iron fixtures. Two variations of lampshade: white & cream. Name: Bougainvillea in a Rustic Pot Cost: 72 Poly: 1240 About: Three flower colors and 6 pot colors. Yea, not much to say here.. Name: Sabal Endtable Cost: 102 Slots: 9 large/ 9 medium/ 16 small About: Thirteen wood variations and eleven painted versions. Only wrought iron. Basic end table, but it does its job. Name: Sabal Hanging Art Cost: 72 About: Thirty-three images included in both silver and wrought iron frames. A handful also are included in gold frames. There are a lot of em; all tropicalesque. Name: Sabal Palm Contemporary Paintings (large & small sizes)Cost: 52 About: Twenty-one pictures in both small and large sizes. All have black metal frames. For size difference see the main display picture above. Hope you enjoy!!#Bedroom #Tropical #Comfort #Bedspread #Endtable #Lamp #Decor #Pictures

Are you exporting them as .png? Because you cannot actually "save" them as .png

Did you try setting the spec blank just to see if that makes a difference?
And I don't know anything about the modeling program you used but you probably wouldn't hurt to remove doubles in blender anyway

I have never used a rug as a clone since I heard that they can cause problems sometimes for unknown reasons. I clone my tablecloths from a regular decorative item and then used this tutorial to make it act like a rug (ie ignored by sims). Perhaps cloning it as a non-rug decoration would fix it?

There is also a tutorial on here too for decimate: Reduce Poly CountHowever, decimate doesn't always do the best job for everything. If decimate doesn't work the way you want it to, sometimes, I have found, it is best to do some selective reducing yourself (i.e. remake parts of the mesh yourself with fewer polys). Look for parts of the mesh that may have a lot of detail, but do not necessarily need it (like lights for example, you may not see the mesh so closely if it is near the light bulb so you don't need as much detail there) and just remove them/smooth them out or merge faces.

Yea, it looks like there could be something amiss with the higher LODs uv placement perhaps. If you replace the LOD1/2 with the LOD0 and it fixes it, that is one way you know its the LOD.
Also, is that one of the frames with glass on it?

So, its been a while since I posted anything. Primarily because I am finishing my dissertation, which is absorbing almost all of my "free" time (but also because my computer decided to freak out after we had a power outage and... yea, ended up having to reinstall the OS, blah). But I managed to finish this one! Yay! This one is a for your sims who are fond of books Includes six new meshes: Desk, Chair, Standing Picture, Laptop, Ladder Self, and Bookcase. All of the wooden pieces now feature my new hand-drawn wood textures including walnut (dark/light), cherry (dark/light), maple (dark/light), pine (dark/light), ash & birch. I’m trying to make things more standardized. (Note: items on the ladder are just to show the ladder is a shelf, they are not included in the set because books come from B5studio and the cat sculpture is an Apollo conversion from msteaqueen). Here is some info about the items in the set, but there is more info & pictures on my tumblr: Simphony no. 4
Bibliophile’s Makeshift Bookcase (with and without book decor)
- Cost: 302
- Poly With Books: 2642
- Poly Without Books: 1720
- Slots: 27 large /119 med / 547 small
- About: Comes in twelve wood variations, each with different color accents. Both the empty and the full versions work as bookcases and have the same number slots.
- Note! I have not included the empty bookcase in the group download folder, so you will need to download it separately here. However, you can have both empty and full bookshelves in your game at the same time; they do not override each
Bibliophile's Desk- Cost: 272
- Poly: 3266 (its the chain; I did reduce it a bit, but yea)
- Slots: 27 large/ 65 med / 84 small
- About: Ten wood colors; must be placed against the wall
Bibliophile Chair
- Cost: 102
- About: Ten wood colors; several leather colors. Categorized as office chair
Bibliophile's Map to the World (Picture)- Cost: 102
- Category: Sculpture (it is a standing picture, not hanging)
- About: Twelve old maps (all from wiki commons) of a variety of places and some imaginary places. All text that is visible in game is in simlish. I used Joininmobile’s Medieval text available at MTS
Old Library Ladder (Works as Shelving & Decor)
- Cost: 512
- Category: Misc Surfaces
- About: Ten Wood colors. Not required to lean against wall, but looks best that way.
Simbook Laptop
- Cost: 2502
- Category: Electronics/Computer
- About: Comes in eight bright colors, black, chrome and white. Includes white, gray and black plumbobs (thanks to simsplex for the plumbob graphic)
- Note! This is a working computer. There is no mouse, so that means that you still have some of the animation for mouse but of course, without a mouse… The laptop is also a tad smaller than the standard in game computers, so the animations are not exact. For me the animation doesn’t look bad, but of course, it all depends on how picky you are
Thank you to inabadromance and anska for helping me with some questions/problems I had with this set. Also, as usual, thank you to everyone in the forums; I learn so much just by reading about other people's problems/solutions. #Office #Desk #Bookcase #Chair #Shelving #Standing Painting #Decor #Office #Desk #Bookcase #Chair #Shelving #Standing Painting #Decor #Office #Desk #Bookcase #Chair #Shelving #Standing Painting #Decor #Office #Desk #Bookcase #Chair #Shelving #Standing Painting #Decor

I figured it was those little connectors, and finally managed to dissolve them (and alter the mesh a bit but no biggie) and now, tada! no little lines. I was having trouble dissolving some of the lines, so thanks for the help!!

Okay, So this is minor, very minor, but its bugging me. So I thought I would see if someone had any ideas about how to get rid of the strange shadows on the corners. It is a working computer but I did replace the spec/normal and I tried remove doubles. Any idea on how to get it to smooth out? Just the corners. Thanks in advance. (Including Blender & package files) Blender File: tester.blend
Package: Sn4_Bibliophile_laptop
