Hi! I'm trying to separate this chef's top but the neckline isn't showing up in the studio. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. It's my first attempt at separating too. Any help or direction would be appreciated!

Hello! I've only done things with recoloring or categorizing objects and never used Blender. I've been trying to poke around in it and use tutorials but its not clicking for me... I'm not really sure even what tutorial would really help me exactly. I've been wanting to try out making clothes or editing them in this case and I thought maybe this project would be easy to start with, but maybe I'm wrong? If this isn't where I should ask this or anything like that I'll delete this post, no problem. But this is what I want to do: I want to make the left skirt have the high waist of the right skirt, not make the skirt longer in length like the right one just the waist higher. If anyone knows a good place to start or a tutorial to follow that would be helpful. Thanks a lot and I appreciate all the help I get here!

Thank you both Mathcope and orangemittens so much for lending me a hand. I did go with the decorative item instructions that Mathcope said and it works perfectly! I just added extra swatches to match all the ones that original Steamin' Ornate Emitter had. I will definitely return to this though for anything else I do. I really really appreciate you guys taking time out of your day to respond and help me. ) Do you think its ok if I share it on here? I don't know if anyone else would really want it but I think I'll put it on my simblr and if they do: cool and if not: also cool. haha Thank you so much again!!!

Okay, so I'm trying to make one of the Steam'in Ornate Emitter into just a deco object for... reasons. ( Because I think it looks like a Sewer Grate, why not? ) I already have cloned a mesh ( Florist's Dream Gardening Tools ) and replaced it with Steam'in Ornate Emitter's mesh, made adjustments because if you're in game and zoomed it out would revert back to Florist's Dream's mesh. I changed it to LOD 2 (low) which did fix that in game. I also fixed it so that it doesn't actually emit steam or bubbles. Now, the problem I have is that the outdoor shadow, as you listed above, does show up. I opened it in blender and tried to do what you said but I can't find the shadow... can you help me? It's my first time using Blender. Below are images - hopefully it will help?
Also - I should add - that I have another version of it was working on it first, without using another mesh. Everything is working totally fine but when you go to place the object it says that 'this item can only be placed in a pool' or something close to that. That's the only problem with that way... but I have no idea how to change that? AND if you use bb.moveobjects it places perfectly anywhere on the ground, but I'd like to do that without using bb.moveobjects.
I hope what I said makes sense and is appropriate that I posted here - let me know if not. Thank you! (´・ω・`)

Oh, you are so nice - thank you both! I'm just happy I can make something even if its ' just' walls to share... who knows maybe I'll eventually learn how to do other things too!

Hi there! This is my first time posting on here so please correct me if I do anything I shouldn't be doing. I edited the Brickwall that came along with Get Together so that it has no trim at the bottom. A special 'Thank You' goes out to anska for taking the time to help me out when I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I really appreciate it! Also, 'Thank You' to simension for your very informative thread on walls! And thank goodness for Sims 4 Studio!!

anska Oh man I was making it way harder than what it is haha! Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know. I'll definitely do that once I have time tonight. I literally wasted like 5 hours yesterday trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I am so happy you posted this simension ! It is a lot of help but for some reason I think I must be doing it wrong because my wall I'm trying to make isn't working out. I can't figure out where I'm going wrong and was wondering if you or someone would have the time to assist me? I want to make a no-trim version of the 'Brickwall' that came with Get Together. I use Photoshop for my editor. Ok, this has been my recent approach: It's a wider wall so I use for instance, the 1024x1280 for the tall part of the wall. I've made a new canvas of that size and I used the wall pattern of the brick and just kept pasting it and adding it to the canvas until it fills up the entire canvas. Then I resize that to the 1024x1024 size but when import that to the studio it is super squished. I haven't gotten this far yet because this hasn't worked but from what I understand after the tallest wall is good then I am supposed to crop out of the 1024x1280 to 1024x1024 for the medium wall then resize that to the 512x512, correct? Do I need a larger texture so when it 'shrinks' it does it to the correct size in game? I just am not understanding what I am doing wrong, and maybe I'm not reading the directions correctly too, I have no idea! Oh my I hope this makes sense...

Hi all! My name is Christine and I've been a simmer since 2002 starting with the original and have been obsessed ever since. Only recently I've been actually dabbled with creating. So far, I've only been able to recolor walls but thanks to the helpful tutorials here I've at least managed to do that! I really appreciate the help this site gives.
