Bump. If this isn't the correct place to post this, please point me in the right direction! I can't make ANY mods. Studio crashes every single time I try to open a .package file!!!

I get to the part where I create the name of my file after choosing a random eye color. The file saves but Studio freezes and then a box pops up stating that "S4Studio has stopped working". When I reopen the program, the saved package file is listed under "My Projects" but when I try to open it... same issue. Studio crashes. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here?

Great thanks! On a side note, if I do not manage to make glowing work, is there a way to make lamps default on and/or permanently on? I only ask because the object I am seeking to create is supposed to have the function of a radio, but it glows if that makes sense. I am creating this bedroom set from the Mass Effect games and want to include the glowing orange stereo/clock thing on the side table. In-game (Mass Effect) it only ever served to play music, so I want it to be able to play like a radio in-game (Sims 4). ETA: I'm not sure if objects can be multi-functional. For example, can an object be both a lamp AND a radio? If not, I need a way to make it light up on its own without the Sim having to turn it on, because it absolutely at the least needs to be able to be turned on and off as a radio. It would look ridiculous without the glow. Plus if I can get it to glow, I'll be able to create the wall switch as a wall decor.

Yeah, I figured out that doing the SmartUV option ONLY and not messing around with it was a horrible idea. It took me so long to map out each texture. But I finished it and decided I wasn't doing that again, so when I made the dresser, side table, and lamp, I made sure to designate specific areas for each part and it was so much easier. Still have a few things to go before my set is complete, but it's looking promising so far. Trial and error!

I have a small object I'd like to make glow... All of it, not just parts. Can this tutorial be applied? I saw mention of objects in previous comments, but it looks like those were posted a while ago.
Thanks!

You guys are awesome. I did everything you suggested and it finally worked! I would have never thought of the scale & rotation thing.

It's as if the normals are flipping themselves upon import into S4S and I can't figure out why it's behaving this way.

Oh and in that tutorial, it has me doing exactly what you said with the appending the mattress. I decided to start over and redo the appending and all that, make sure cut is set to 0 on the frame. Here is what it looks like in Blender before importing into S4S.

Sorry to post again. But now I'm having issues with my mesh once loaded into S4S. It looks fine in Blended, but looks cut open and strange once loaded. It's like the opposite of the problem listed in the "common problems" section... It's not Blender that it is looking strange in. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I've recalculated the normals and even tried flipping them, but it always looks the same once imported into S4S. I'm at a loss!

Thanks Andrew. It was unchecked and when I looked for the tool in the Addon area earlier, I was looking under "S4Studio CAS Tools" instead of "Import-Export" and so I did not see it. Thanks again for the prompt help!

Thanks for the speedy response! I downloaded 2.70a and all is good now.
Is there something I am missing to get the S4Studio CAS Tools to show up in Blender? I've searched for this topic but am unable to find anything regarding this. It has been a long time since I've meshed anything... Not since Sims 3, so this is all new territory for me.
Thanks again!

Hello...
Probably a stupid question but I updated my blender and now S4S is telling me it can't export meshes. Do I absolutely have to use 2.70 for it to work?
Thanks!
