Elissa Pickering is there any chance you can tell me where you got the shirt in your avatar from? I think it is super cool.

Do you mean you want to move the location of the flame? Is it a single candle? If yes to both the way I do it is clone the Candle's Crib and replace it with your new mesh. Next to move the flame location go to warehouse tab then the rig - bones - edit items. The one you want to adjust is the _FX_: Position. To just move it up/down change the Z location use - in front of the number if moving down, if moving up just enter in number. You can take a look at my Thanksgiving candles HERE to see how I have it changed. Yes, I want to move the location of the flame. It´s a mesh with four candles and flames. The base mesh also has four flames so it should work the same way with just a bit more work to do, right? Thanks a lot. It´s great that I can use your Thanksgiving candles for reference. Edit: Well, apparantly not. There´s only one rig entry so its not possible to change the positions of the four flames separately.

Thanks for the tutorial. I´m currently creating a new candle mesh and I would love to know how to change the flame. Unfortunately my new mesh doesn´t fit the height and position of the EA mesh I cloned.

I´m a bit late anidup, but thanks for your kind post. I have very little time at the time being but I hope it will get better soon and that the tools will be developped to allow for converting my food dishes by then. I´d also like to welcome all the newbies: Nikolai ( eirflower), lalunarossa, Rafael (loved your stuff over at MTS Metalfenix_Raf), @lizatekna and Jessica ( akijinchan). I hope you´ll all be having a blast at creating cool stuff.

Window sills! I did those back in times of TS2 and I was hoping someone would come up with window sills for TS4. Yours look fantastic. Thanks a bunch!

Sorry for the late response bienchen83, I didn't see the question earlier. Studio is able to work with objects that have geostates but only by removing them. Depending on what the item is the geostates it has are more or less integral to the final .package that results. For example, the cupcake machine has geostates but all they do is change one tiny dial while the machine works in the game. The lack of a geostate in that case is barely noticeable. Other items may have more drastic visual changes provided by the geostate. The only way to see exactly what the geostate is doing and whether the lack of it is acceptable to you for a specific project is to try it out. Both Joy and Sugar will let you know if you've cloned a geostate item and, if you export a mesh from that .package, both will offer to remove it for you. Let Studio remove the geostate, swap your mesh, and then import your new one back to the .package. Test it in the game to see if the overall function looks good to you Thank you for the response, orangemittens. It seems I will have to wait with food creation. Food dishes use geostates for the half eaten and eaten states of a food. I don´t think those are acceptable to be removed.

Hi, my name is Sabine, I´m 32 years old, married, have three children and live in Germany. I´ve been creating a lot for the Sims 2, but I didn´t like Sims 3 so I stopped creating and came back for The Sims 4 now. I´ve been having a rather difficult time lately, but I hope it will get better soon.
