I'm also having this problem, difference is my mesh won't append at all in 2.70, 2.76 and 2.79, I can only load them as obj files which means I can't bake my mesh

Hey. I'm trying to make a mirrored wood tile and I don't know how to go about it. I've searched the threads but didn't find anything relating to it. I know how to make a simple floor tile but now I want to make one with a glossy/mirror effect. Hope I made sense.

is the sims 4 studio path correctly set to blender 2.70? It worked. The S4studio cas tool showed up. Thank you so much 😄

have you tried redownloading blender 2.70 or s4s? I updated studio this morning haven't redownloaded blended ever since I downloaded 2.78

which version of blender are you using? I'm using blender 2.70. It's the recommended version for the tutorialatest I used but I do have blender 2.78 too

I was creating a room divider using one of the Base game room dividers as a Base mesh. Once I got to blender I realised the sims4studio cas tool option under scene is missing, so I'm unable to change the cut number. I decided to just continue with my new mesh and when I was done, imported the mesh into studio. The mesh did not import, only the changed shadow. The original Base game mesh was still showing up. Is there a particular way to create room dividers?

All your packages have the same instance number, meaning they are overrides of each other. As i've mentioned before, you need to clone each item from scratch to have individual objects.. not save them with different names. IF you want to clone the first object for example, then you need to do it as a cc object by following THIS TUTORIAL. Okay thank you. Will do that.

Hi! There's not really a way to know what's going on if you don't share the files so someone can take a look at them. Remember that you have to clone a base game item each time to have individual objects. simfileshare.net/download/449550/

Hi. I created a new mesh for a couple of packages. I used the same steps throughout with all individual packages and they all have their own mesh and shadow mesh. But only one of the packages show up in game. I tried to see what I did different in the first package that I might have unconsciously changed with the others but everything looks the same yet the other packages won't show ingame buy are visible in S4S.

Both bump map (B9A1809B87C19F4B) and specular (B1D7F83A11BCDE7A) are untouched in either of the files. You have to export those two files and clean them out. In your image editor of choice, pick the eye drop tool to grab the color that coves the image the most in both and paint it all. Both main layer and alpha channel. This two textures must be saved as .dds. I believe GIMP saves as .dds, and if you're using photoshop then you'll need this NVIDIA PLUGIN. This is for you to learn how to edit your own textures. If you want a simple blank bump map and matte specular you can grab them from my folder HERE. EDIT: Also, i noticed that you have two packages with similar names. To create another item in game you need to re clone the object, not name it as something else.Cool. Thank you so much.

Is there normal map on a painting ? Cause if you see that only depending on the colour it might be a normal map issue. Or specular. Yes the normal map is visible. I tried making it blank I've even used a map from other people's mesh's but still nothing. And it not just the painting. Even when I try my lipsticks, they all come out shiny no matter the tutorial and no matter what I do with the specular. Everything I try out just won't work. I did update my studio so I don't get what I'm doing wrong
