So you did...sorry about missing it.
I looked at the wall images and the short wall image is 58 x 116. This is causing it to be blurry on the wall model in Studio's model viewer and it's probably what is causing the problem in the game. Try resizing that image to 256 x 512 and see if this will clear up the problem.
I'm not sure what you mean by, "I make my own wall that cannot be recolored in the Sims 3".

I mean that in The sims 3 the walls I made I used corel paint shop pro and then I used TSR workshop to install it. Have you ever used TSR Workshop? Thanks I'll try it tomorrow when I get off work. Thanks. I'll let ya know.

The tutorial that's there is for the older version and I guess it's time to update that. Floors are coming but not for a little while. The team is small and has been working on a couple other community wish list items first. But Studio will eventually be able to make floors Did resizing the wall image fix the question marks?

Hi yoshutzo, I'm not sure what you mean by the texture is merging when you resize. Can you show a picture of what it looked like before the merge and what it looks like after the merge? It should look in TS4S how it looks in the game unless you're making a mural. Studio isn't set up yet for tiling changes. I completely understand that you want it to look right. Please send the .package and also the images you were using to put into the .packages.

I use the wrong word ,,merge ,, stretched this was the word hehe .... I used the package which had unresize texture and i had no problem into game everything was showing .. do we really need to resize back ? Everything is showing texture ofmaterial and the border is clean with no resize When i resize it ..it give me this border and the texture of the rest of wall is a bit mix up not much only if you go to check it ,u might see it This is a wallpaper created from zero , perhaps it might be the problem from me?! :/

I understand what you mean now. When you resize the wall it will look squashed and distorted in your 2D editor. It should appear right in Studio though and in the game the game engine will make it look right. You should resize the walls because otherwise some players will see only question mark walls when they use them.
When you resize it what tool are you using to do that? Resizing it should not make it get blurry like the picture you've shown of the trim (border)

Hello, Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I have a few questions. I'm using Studio v. 2.1.0.8 (Alice). I'd like to put a different name on each of my recolors that are in the same .package. However, when I do this in S4S it changes all the names. Is there a way around this, possibly using s4pe? I notice in the String Table there's an Entries/(Collections), can I edit that? If I can, how can you tell which String Table matches up to which wall?

You can use Studio to do this but it will be a far bigger flog then just cloning the wall again giving it a new name and description and then merging the walls into a single .package.
The basic process, if you want a different name for each swatch in a .package you've added multiple swatches to, would be to get the hex number for that swatch's name and the hex number for it's description, going to the Warehouse tab, clicking the Wall line, and adding the name hex into the NameHash line. Then you would do the same for its DescriptionHash line. After doing that you would need to edit each of the String Table sections to make sure that people using languages other than English didn't have it saying Debug instead of your name and description.
Using s4pe would require the same hashing and editing but you would have the added joy of opening a second tool and dealing with whatever issues it has due to its code not being updated.
The easier route, as I said, would be to clone the wall and make your recolor with the name and description you want. Then clone a second wall and do the same. Then change the PrototypeID of the second so it matches the first. Repeat as needed. Once they're all finished use Studio to merge them into a single .package. This will give the player a single .package with all those swatches each with it's own name and description. Those extra names and descriptions won't show unless the player clicks on the swatch thumbnail. In theory this oughta do it...I've always made my walls how EA makes theirs though so this is a theory.

Thanks om.
I'll see if I have the patience tonight to clone those, but now I know how to do it.

Try it with two first to make sure this is going to work how you want it to...I think it should. If it doesn't let me know and I can look more at the issue.
